Who Will Be the Third-Ever Champion of the Big O Championship?

Veerachai Vongxaiburana

One of the more popular events on the WSOP schedule is Event #42: $10,000 Big O Championship. The event, which plays as Five Card Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, debuted in 2024, with John Fauver winning the inaugural title and $681,998.

Action kicks off on June 12 at 2 p.m. local time and will play for ten levels with 15-minute breaks every two levels. Players will begin with starting stacks of 60,000 and blinds of 100/200.

Levels will be 60 minutes long throughout the four-day event, which will play to a winner on June 16 at a to-be-determined time.

Late registration will remain open for 12 levels until around 3:15 p.m. on Day 2. Players are up to two re-entries in the eight-handed event.

Last year's event drew 402 runners for a prize pool of $3,738,600 and saw Veerachai Vongxaiburana besting four-time bracelet winner Phil Hui to win his first bracelet and $784,353.
