Big blind Bruno Furth checked the Q♠5♠A♦ flop to Chris Brewer in the hijack, who bet 30,000. Eric Wasserson called in the cutoff before Furth raised to 195,000.
Brewer quickly folded, but Wasserson jammed all in after some time in the tank. Furth instantly called off his stack of 520,000.
Bruno Furth: K♥9♠6♦3♠2♠
Eric Wasserson: A♠9♣5♦3♦2♣
Both players made the nut low on the 7♦ turn, and Wasserson secured the high half of the pot when the river fell the innocuous Q♥, quartering Furth to leave him on a stack of 14 big blinds.
Tony Cousineau was already all in from the big blind as Mike Matusow and Adrian Buckley went to the turn on a board of K♠8♦3♦A♠ with around 240,000 in the pot. Matusow then moved all in for 255,000 from middle position, and Buckley put him at risk on the button.
Tony Cousineau: K♣J♠9♣8♥3♠
Mike Matusow: A♦7♣5♦3♣2♠
Adrian Buckley: A♥10♣9♦4♥2♦
Matusow was ahead with his two pair, while the 7♥ river gave Buckley a low to chop up Cousineau's chips. "It was a great night, gentlemen. I really enjoyed it," Cousineau said as he made his exit.
"Tony, when I grow up, I want to be like you," tablemate Luis Velador told him.
"What, grey?" Cousineau replied.
Nick Pupillo was down to his last 70,000 and got the rest of his stack in from the big blind. Scott Clements called in the small blind to put him at risk.
Nick Pupillo: Q♠10♦9♠9♣3♥
Scott Clements: A♠J♣10♣8♠5♥
Clements hit two pair on the 2♠10♠5♦ flop, then improved to jacks and tens on the J♦ turn. The river 7♣ missed Pupillo, and he was sent to the rail.
Gus Hansen raised to 55,000 in middle position and Maximilian Schindler called in the big blind.
The flop came 8♣5♣2♠ and Hansen bet 70,000. Schindler called, and the 6♣ fell on the turn.
Schindler then announced pot to 270,000, and Hansen quickly folded.
Chris Brewer limped in from middle position and Daniel Aharoni raised to 70,000 in the cutoff. Brewer called, and they went to a flop of K♣Q♣4♠.
Aharoni then bet 70,000, and Brewer called. The turn was the Q♦ and Aharoni bet 90,000. Brewer again called and checked over to Aharoni on the 3♦ river, and this time Aharoni checked back.
"Ace-king," Brewer announced, but Aharoni turned over A♣A♥K♦6♠4♦ to win the pot.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko committed his final 230,000 from the small blind and was looked up by Joshua Ray in the cutoff.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko: A♣J♠10♦3♥2♦
Joshua Ray: A♥A♦J♥6♠4♠
Ray found a wheel and a straight to the eight on the 8♣5♣3♦2♥7♥ board to scoop the pot, eliminating Timoshenko in the process.
Viktor Blom raised to 40,000 on the button. Dan Shak then three-bet to 135,000 in the small blind, and Blom called.
The chips immediately flew in on the 6♦8♥3♠ flop, with Shak's stack of 545,000 being at risk.
Dan Shak: A♥5♥3♥3♣2♠
Viktor Blom: A♣10♥8♠2♥2♦
Shak had flopped a set and improved to a straight on the 10♣4♣ runout. Blom was returned a quarter of the pot as he shared the nut low with Shak, and the chips were rearranged accordingly.
A few minutes before, Joshua Ray had eliminated Dylan Weisman from this table, seeing Ray eclipse the million-mark in chips.
Sam Soverel reraised to 85,000 in the cutoff and William Kerkaert called in middle position.
The flop came Q♠7♥4♣. "You're probably going to call, so I check," Kerkaert said.
"I'm probably going to bet 95,000," Soverel replied as he put in the chips, leaving one 5,000 chip behind. "I'm hoping to keep it, at minimum," Soverel added. Kerkaert called.
Both players checked the 5♥ turn, and the J♥ fell on the river. "You're so dead now," Soverel said as he put in his last chip, and Kerkaert called.
Soverel turned over A♥K♥9♣6♣2♠ for the nut flush and low. "He certainly does have it," tablemate Tyler Brown said, and Kerkaert handed over the double up.
Christian Harder raised to 40,000 in the hijack before Benjamin Miner reraised to 145,000 on the button. Harder then moved all in, and Miner called for his last 270,000.
Benjamin Miner: A♠Q♣8♣4♠2♦
Christian Harder: A♦A♥9♣9♦6♥
The A♣10♥8♠ flop gave Harder top set, while the turn was the Q♥. The 2♥ completed the board on the river, and Harder secured the pot to send Miner to the rail.
