Donovan Bates limped in early, as did Adam Walter in the hijack, Andrew Yeh in the cutoff, Frederic Moss on the button, and Jonathan Nebbout in the big blind.

On the J♣9♠5♦ flop, it checked to Yeh, who bet. Moss called, Nebbout folded, Bates called, and Walter folded.

The 8♣ turn checked through to the J♠ river, which saw Bates lead out, getting quick folds from Yeh and Moss. Bates flipped over 7♠5♥4♠2♦ for just a pair of fives as he dragged the pot.

At the other table, Nikolai Fal made a wheel against Justin Liberto in Stud Hi-Lo, winning a large pot.

The river K♠ checked through, and Nebbout tabled K♦Q♣J♣10♣ for top two. All cards had to be shown, with Balas holding A♣5♣5♦2♠ and Moss tabling A♥9♦3♥2♣. The two couldn't beat Nebbout, and neither could Phillips as his Ax6x6x2x was turned face down by the dealer, and Nebbout celebrated the win.

Yasoshima had 10♥5♦2♦ in the hole for a six-high straight and 6-5 low. Blumenthal had A♦9♠3♣ for a better 6-4 low, and the pot was chopped.

The next hand, Hallock got the rest into the middle, and he could not find half the pot, and he was eliminated.

At the other table, DJ Buckley got his last few bets into the middle on third against two opponents, but he also could not salvage half the pot, and he was eliminated.

Blumenthal then checked seventh, and Ivens bet out with four to a Royal Flush, putting Blumenthal deep into the tank. He eventually made the call.

Ivens could only produce the Q♠ for a pair of queens, and Blumenthal triumphantly tabled 10♣K♣4♦ for a king-high straight to take the small side pot. Although he had sniffed out Ivens' bluff, it was Phillips who would have the last laugh, as his 6♣5♦5♠ in the hole equated to a boat, and with no player holding a low, he scooped a massive one.

Action checked to the river on the 4♥9♥A♦4♠5♣ board, where Ivanov decided to bet out. Yasoshima folded, and Ivanov tabled the goods with 9♦6♥3♦2♠ for the wheel, meaning Melancon's A♠10♥6♠3♠ was no good.
