Irrinki Battles Normand on the Bubble
Level 17
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Srivinay Irrinki was on the button and in a hand with Frederic Normand in the big blind. The pair were already on the J♠7♦6♠ flop with a pot of around 40,000.
Action was on Normand who checked. Irrinki bet 30,000 and Normand called. A 5♥ turn saw Normand bet out 24,000 and Irrinki raise to 84,000. Normand went into a small tank, as there was just one player needed to bust before the money was reached.
He found a call and the J♥ river completed the board. Both opted to check to showdown and Normand tabled his K♠2♠ having missed the flush draw. Irrinki flipped over 7♥6♦ for two pair to take the pot.
