Chip Counts
Aaron Gao raised to 160,000 with A♦9♥ from early position and was called by Dean Cimera from the cutoff with 3♠3♣. Dan Hummer came along with a call with A♠4♦ from the big blind.
All three players checked the 8♥K♠A♥ flop to bring the 6♥ turn. Hummer led out for 150,000, which was called by Gao. Cimera folded.
The 4♠ river led to a bet of 300,000 from Hummer. Gao called as Hummer showed his two pair to claim the pot.
Jean-Louis Santoni went all-in for 840,000 on the button, and was called by Kunal Patni in the big blind to be at risk.
Jean-Louis Santoni: Q♠J♥
Kunal Patni: A♦9♣
Santoni hit the flop to take the lead when it came Q♦K♣J♠.
The A♣ gave Patni more outs, but it was not enough to take the lead.
The J♣ river upgraded Santoni to a full house to secure the double up.
Benoit Fiasson raised to 160,000 from early position with J♥10♣. Ryan Eriquezzo made the call out of the big blind with K♠9♣.
The flop came down J♣A♣4♣, which led to a check from Eriquezzo. Fiasson continued for 100,000, and Eriquezzo made the call.
Both players checked the 9♦ turn.
The 2♠ river led to a bet of 80,000 from Eriquezzo. Fiasson chose to respond with a raise to 360,000. Eriquezzo folded to award the pot to Fiasson.
Anh Nguyen opened to 200,000 from the cutoff. Jacob Gagnon called on the button before Alexander Sokolovsky went all in for 930,000 from the big blind. Nguyen folded, but Gagnon made the call to put Sokolovsky at risk.
Alexander Sokolovsky: A♥10♥
Jacob Gagnon: K♠Q♠
Sokolovsky was ahead preflop, and the flop kept it that way when it came 3♠8♠10♦, but Gagnon gained outs with a flush draw.
The turn was an ace, but not the suit Sokolovsky wanted to see when the A♠ peeled to give Gagnon the nuts.
The J♥ was the final card Sokolovsky would see as he exited the tournament.
Kunal Patni opened to 160,000 from early position.
Kazuo Yamamoto defended his big blind to bring the flop of 6♦7♦8♣. Yamamoto went all-in for 550,000, and Patni snap-called to put him at risk.
Kazuo Yamamoto: 10♥8♥
Kunal Patni: J♠J♣
The 5♦ turn did not change anything for either play, and the 3♠ river was all she wrote for Yamamoto, who was eliminated.
Steven Hinkle raised to 205,000 from middle position before Octavio Borra re-raised to 655,000 on the button.
Hinkle called and sent them to a flop of J♠A♣9♦. Hinkle checked before Borra bet 250,000. Hinkle stuck around with a call.
The 9♣ turn led to a check from both players to bring the 10♣ river.
Hinkle checked again before Borra wagered 700,000 in response. Hinkle gave it some thought before he put in the call.
Borra showed A♥10♥ for aces and tens, but it was no good, as Hinkle tabled Q♣J♣ for a rivered flush, much to the chagrin of Borra.
Level: 28
Blinds: 50,000/100,000
Ante: 100,000
Thanh Bui was all in and at risk for his last 740,000 and covered by Jacob Gagnon.
Thanh Bui:A♦K♥
Jacob Gagnon: Q♦Q♥
There was no help for Bui as he missed on the 9♣10♦5♦9♠10♥ runout, and Gagnon held with pocket queens. As Gagnon pulled in the pot he remarked, "the ladies like me today."
Benoit Fiasson opened to 160,000 from the hijack. Jhordy Sanchez shoved for 2,080,000 from the small blind and was called by Fiasson.
Jhordy Sanchez: K♠9♠
Benoit Fiasson: A♦K♣
The flop kept Fiasson in the lead when it came J♦10♣6♣.
The A♠ turn did not help Sanchez.
Fiasson scored the knockout when the 8♥ hit the river to elimiante the Day 2b chip leader.
Vincent Moscati went all-in for 1,020,000 from early position. Alessandro Predaroli called from the hijack before Meng Dian Peng opted to re-raise to 3,200,000 from the cutoff.
Predaroli went all-in for 4,360,000 and was called by Peng to be at risk.
Vincent Moscati: A♠Q♥
Alessandro Predaroli: A♣K♣
Meng Dian Peng: A♥K♠
Moscati got the flop he was hoping for when the Q♣A♦2♠ came.
The 10♥ turn gave Predaroli and Peng a straight draw, but it did not come on the 6♥ river to give Moscati the main pot, while Predaroli and Peng chopped the side.
