2026 World Series of Poker
Jed Friedman opened to 2,000,000 from under the gun with 10♣8♣. A.J. Allee, who was sitting to his direct left, moved all in for his 1,300,000. Action folded to Meng Dian Peng in the hijack, who called the 2,000,000 open from Friedman with A♥4♥.
Michael Monroig was on the button and jammed for 27,900,000, covering all players with live hands, and action very quickly folded back around to Allee, leaving them to go heads up.
A.J. Allee: A♣3♣
Michael Monroig: A♦K♥
Allee needed to find some help but the 9♦2♥K♦ flop didn't give him anything to work with. The Q♠ turn and 6♥ river saw to his elimination, and he hit the rail in 14th place.
Jacob Gagnon went all-in from the small blind and Ryan Eriquezzo called to put himself at risk for 7,800,000.
Ryan Eriquezzo: A♠A♦
Jacob Gagnon: K♣9♣
The J♠J♣Q♣ flop gave Gagnon plenty of outs to crack Eriquezzo's aces.
The K♠ turn kept Eriquezzo out in front, and Gagnon was unable to find one of his outs on the 2♠ river to award Eriquezzo the double up.
This hand was picked up on the flop with 7,500,000 in the middle with a flop of 10♦8♠K♣.
Yifu He from the big blind with A♦Q♣, Joseph Liberta with A♠10♣ from under the gun, and Joseph Baghdadlian with J♦7♦ on the button all checked to bring the A♥ turn.
He checked again before Liberta bet 3,000,000. Baghdadlian called before He chose to call also.
The Q♠ river led to a check from He and Liberta. Baghdadlian put out a large bet of 12,000,000 on the river.
He and Liberta both folded their two pairs to yield the pot to Baghdadlian.
Level: 38
Blinds: 500,000/1,000,000
Ante: 1,000,000
Meng Dian Peng opened to 4,100,000 from under the gun, which was around half his stack. Michael Monroig three-bet to 7,000,000 from the hijack and action went back to Peng.
Peng pushed in his chips and was at risk for 8,100,000, and Monroig called.
Meng Dian Peng: A♥A♣
Michael Monroig: A♠J♠
The 2♣Q♠6♣ flop was good for Peng, although there were some backdoor flush draw outs for Monroig. The K♦ turn meant Monroig needed just a ten to take the pot, but the K♣ river saw Peng get the full double.
Michael Monroig opened to 2,000,000 from the cutoff before Seiji Sasaki called from the big blind, leaving only 600,000 behind.
Sasaki checked the 8♣7♣10♣ flop, which led to a bet of 600,000 from Monroig. Sasaki called to put himself at risk.
Seiji Sasaki: 5♠5♣
Michael Monroig: A♣2♠
Sasaki was ahead, but Monroig had plenty of outs to sink him.
The 10♥ turn kept Sasaki in the lead, but Monroig gained more outs as he could counterfeit Sasaki if the board paired again.
The river was a disaster as the 7♥ peeled to counterfeit Sasaki and eliminate him in 15th place. Sasaki earned $75,200 for his finish.
Antony Rubin was in the small blind with J♠10♠ and in a hand with Jacob Gagnon in the big blind, who sat with A♣4♠. Jed Friedman was also in from early position with 10♦8♦ and the three players were already on the K♥J♣6♠ flop with a 5,600,000 pot.
Action checked to see the 3♥ turn and the blinds checked to Friedman, who bet 1,800,000. Only Rubin called and the 9♦ was placed as the river card. Rubin jammed for 10,200,000 and Friedman folded.
Yifu He limped from the small blind with A♣K♣. Joseph Liberta checked his option from the big blind with J♥9♠.
The 5♦6♦10♠ prompted a check from He. Liberta followed with a check.
He bet 800,000 on the 7♠ turn. Liberta responded with a raise to 2,600,000. He three-bet to 5,300,000, which prompted a quick fold from Liberta as He took down the pot.
This hand was picked up on the flop of 4♥9♠4♦ with 2,400,000 in the middle.
Jed Friedman checked from the small blind with A♠2♠ before Joseph Baghdadlian bet 800,000 with Q♦4♠ from the big blind. Friedman called.
The Q♣ turn was checked by both players to bring the K♠ river.
Friedman checked again before Baghdalian bet 1,800,000. Friedman called to find out the bad news as Baghdadlian held a boat.
Meng Dian Peng raised to 1,600,000 on the button and Garry Gurevich called from the small blind.
The Q♣10♦4♦ flop saw Gurevich check and Peng checked back. A 3♦ was turned and Gurevich checked again. Peng bet 3,000,000 and Gurevich counted out his stack before raising to 6,000,000 with just 1,800,000 behind. Peng three-bet all in and Gurevich called.
Garry Gurevich: A♠A♣
Meng Dian Peng: Q♦J♥
Gurevich stood from the table and watched the 6♣ complete the board, which saw to his double up.
