After two full days of battling on the felt inside the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, Event #52: $3,000 Nine Game Mix is down to just 21 players seeking to become the latest mixed-game champion.
Leading the way with 3,500,000—nearly 20 percent of the chips in play—is none other than mixed-game crusher and eight-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb.
Deeb vaulted to the top of the WSOP Player of the Year Leaderboard after a spectacular performance at the 2026 WSOPE, but has since slipped and is looking to turn things around after a somewhat disappointing summer thus far. Prior to this event, Deeb had only one cash during this series, but he currently sits as the favorite to make a run at the final table and reclaim a top spot in the leaderboard race.
Deeb will have a mountain of talent to contend with, however. Sitting in second position with 1,742,000 is 2004 WSOP Main Event runner-up David Williams, who has taken a break from his commentating duties to showcase his poker prowess in the prestigious event.
Further down the leaderboard are Poker Hall of Famer and five-time bracelet winner Eli Elezra (901,000), five-time bracelet winner Mike Gorodinsky (832,000), two-time bracelet winners Allan Le and Joey Couden (672,000), and Jeff Madsen (318,000) — who is fresh off a victory in the $1,500 Dealer's Choice event for his fifth bracelet.
