The action checked to Kyriakides on the 4 river, who moved all in for 210,000. Shankar folded, but Gruneberg called.

Kyriakides tabled K9776 for a rivered straight, and Gruneberg tossed his cards face down into the muck.

Gruneberg Unrelenting

Hokyiu Lee limped in from the hijack, which tempted Ravi Shankar and Bouwe Claushuis to do the same from the button and small blind. Zachary Gruneberg then checked his option in the big blind.

When Claushuis checked on the 7210 flop, Gruneberg didn't hang around, putting a bet of 250,000 into the middle. Shankar called on the button, but the other two players in the hand folded.

The 8 turn did nothing to slow Gruneberg down, firing another 700,000 into the pot. Shankar gave it serious consideration, but ultimately chose to fold.
