Erick Mossinger limped from the small blind, but Kamel Mokhammad wanted to play for more and opted to raise to 450,000 total from the big blind. Mossinger called.
Both players checked the 7♦K♦3♦ flop to bring the 6♠ turn.
Mossinger led out for 350,000 and was called by Mokhammad.
The Q♣ river led to a check from Mossinger. Mokhammad put out a large bet of 1,200,000. Mossinger asked how much the bet was before he made the fold to award the pot to Mokhammad.
Kamel Mokhammad opened to 300,000 from under the gun. He was called by Zachary Gruneberg on the button and Erick Mossinger in the big blind.
It checked to Gruneberg on the J♦K♥7♠ flop before he bet 650,000 in response. Mossinger folded, but Mokhammad made the call.
Both players checked through the J♥ turn and 4♥ river.
Gruneberg showed A♣K♦10♣8♦2♦ for top pair top kicker, which was good enough as he took down the pot.
Erick Mossinger potted to 550,000 from middle position, and Ravi Shankar called out of the small blind. He check-shoved the Q♦10♣7♦ flop following a pot-sized wager from Mossinger, and the Brazilian snapped to put his opponent at risk.
Ravi Shankar: J♣9♥9♠8♠5♥
Erick Mossinger: A♦Q♠J♦5♣4♣
Shankar had flopped a wrap, but Mossinger was in the lead with top pair and a diamond draw to boot. The 3♣ turn changed nothing, and Mossinger made queens up on the 10♥ river to send his opponent home.
Zachary Gruneberg raised to 500,000 from the hijack and was called by Kamel Mokhammad in the big blind.
Both players checked the 7♠6♥3♥ flop to bring the 3♣ turn.
Mokhammad bet 875,000 and was called by Gruneberg.
The Q♣ river did not slow Mokhammad down as he opted to fire 2,650,000.
Gruneberg vocalized that he was suspicious it was a bluff, but ultimately decided to fold to award the pot to Gruneberg.
Kamel Mokhammad opened to 400,000 from the hijack. Zachary Gruneberg called on the button before Hokyiu Lee joined from the big blind.
The 7♣4♣J♥ flop led to a pair of checks from Lee and Mokhammad before Gruneberg bet 650,000. Lee folded, but Mokhammad called.
The A♦ turn led to another check from Mokhammad. Gruneberg bet 2,070,000, which elicited a fold from Mokhammad to take down the pot.
Hokyiu Lee limped in under the gun, and Zachary Gruneberg called from the small blind. Ravi Shankar checked his option in the big, and the three went off to a flop of 9♣5♣K♥
Gruneberg made it 300,000 to go, and both of his opponents made the call. The price of poker went up as he put 700,000 into the middle on the 8♥ turn, this time receiving a call from Shankar only.
The 9♠ hit the river, and action went check-check. "Jacks," announced Gruneberg, seemingly ready to accept defeat, but much to his rail's delight, Shankar let go of his cards upon seeing Gruneberg's J♥J♣10♣8♦6♥

In the 977th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which is sponsored by FanDuel Poker, Chad Holloway and Mike Holtz are joined at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas by a pair from the UK in Grosvenor Poker's Katie Swift and Philip "The Tower" Heald.
The quartet discusses the recent high-profile bet between Phil Hellmuth and Shaun Deeb, one involving the former's son, Phillip "P3" Hellmuth III, and the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Deeb stands to win $14,000 max, while Hellmuth could potentially win $10,000,000! It's an extremely long shot, but what do you think?
From there, the crew looks at a pair of game-changing hands. In the first, Dario Sammartino shared on social media that an automatic shuffler has apparently sorted the cards, which resulted in two very similar hands, and in the other, a dealer error resulted in the final two players in the COLOSSUS being dealt the wrong cards in the first hand of heads-up play. No one noticed in real time, and the tournament ended as a result.
Other topics include changes to the Poker Hall of Fame, The Tower advocating for Barny Boatman and John Duthie to be inducted, and a look ahead to Grosvenor Poker's famed GOLIATH, which will run July 23-August 2. Finally, don't forget to order your Think Jerky here!
Find out all about those stories and more in this week's episode of the PokerNews Podcast! Oh, and be sure to check out the audio version of the PokerNews Podcast that is available on all major podcasting platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
