Razz
After tangling in a Razz pot with Chino Rheem, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi found himself down to about 20,000 and played a pot against Brad Ruben, getting all of his chips in on fifth street.
Michael Mizrachi: Ax4x / Jx7x2x
Brad Ruben: 8x3x / 10x2x6x
Mizrachi paired up a pair on seventh street with a 7x as Ruben also paired up with a 3x. Ruben was then dealt the Kx on seventh street as the reigning champ turned over a Qx to be sent to the rail in the final level of the day.
"Say goodbye to the cameras," said Chino Rheem as the half-dozen-deep camera crew rolled away with the recently busted champion.
No-Limit Hold'em
It folded to Kevin Choi on the button who open-jammed for 60,500, and Christopher Vitch snap-called in the big blind.
Kevin Choi: A♣3♥
Christopher Vitch: A♦Q♥
Choi was in rough shape and it became dire on the Q♣J♦4♠ flop. He was drawing dead on the A♥ turn, and the 9♥ river was a mere formality as he exited shortly before the break.
Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better
One hand after the elimination of Ryuta Nakai by James Obst, there was a button raise by Ioannis Angelou Konstas and he was called by Maxx Coleman in the big blind. Coleman check-called the 10♦7♠3♣ flop and then did so again on the A♦ turn. They checked the A♠ river and Coleman's K♠K♦Q♦10♣ for aces and kings won the pot.
No-Limit Hold'em
In a three-way pot on a board of 5♦J♦Q♥7♥, Dave Rogers checked in the small blind and Jesse Lonis bet 18,000 in the big blind. Calvin Anderson called in the cutoff and Rogers then check-jammed for around 152,000. Lonis called and Anderson folded.
Dave Rogers: A♥9♥
Jesse Lonis: Q♣J♠
Rogers needed a heart to stay alive and couldn't hit it as the river brought the 2♠ to mark his elimination.
Pot-Limit Omaha
On a flop of J♥3♠2♠, Joao Vieira led for 15,000 from the big blind, and Jeremy Ausmus called from under the gun after he limp-called Vieira's pot raise preflop, bringing the pot size to around 55,000.
The turn was the K♦ as Vieira potted, Ausmus was all in for 62,000, and Vieira called.
Jeremy Ausmus: J♠J♣7♠7♦
Joao Vieira: A♠A♥J♦5♦
Ausmus flopped a set of jacks but Vieira had a gutter and two aces available. However, the river was the 10♦ and Ausmus doubled.
The next hand, Viktor Blom had opened second-to-act before Joao Vieira potted from the small blind, and Blom called.
On the 8♣7♥5♠ flop, Vieira jammed for his final 54,000 and Blom called.
Joao Vieira: A♥A♦Q♣3♥
Viktor Blom: Q♠Q♦J♠10♦
Vieira was in good shape against the queens and gutter of Blom. The 3♦ turn added no additional outs, but the river was the 9♣, and Blom made his straight to send Vieira to the rail, in what was a reminder in how brutal aces can be in this game.
Pot-Limit Omaha
After four limps of the original 2,500, Matt Glantz potted to 15,000 in the big blind, and five players would go on to see the K♦6♣3♣ flop with 80,000 in the middle.
Glantz led for 75,000 on the flop, Scott Seiver potted to 305,000 under the gun, and the other players all quickly folded. Glantz asked for the rest, and Seiver called all in for about 385,000 total.
Scott Seiver: A♣K♠10♠6♥
Matt Glantz: A♥K♣J♣10♥
Seiver held top two pair with the nut club blocker, while Glantz had top pair with a flush draw, and the jack was the only clean two-pair out for Glantz.
All the players anxiously stood over the table as the 4♠ turn changed nothing. However, the 10♣ would land on the river, giving Glantz the flush to send Seiver to the rail.
At another table, Robert Mizrachi was also eliminated.
