Lazar Bartha limped from early position only for Zachary Smiley to make it 155,000 to play. Action folded to Hugo Nazar in the hijack who moved all in for just over 200,000. Bartha folded and Smiley made the call.
Hugo Nazar: A♠K♠
Zachary Smiley: 7♣7♠
Not the door card Nazar was looking for on the 7♦2♦10♠ flop and when the K♣ peeled off on the turn he was drawing dead, the 4♦ bricked out the river to seal the deal and Nazar was sent to the cage.

Koralla does not have a reported WSOP cash on his resume since the 2024 WSOP, when he cashed in the Poker Hall of Fame Bounty event. Koralla most recently placed fourth in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em event at the PokerGO $500K Showcase for $48,000. Koralla will look to add much more than that as he enters with the top stack in the room on Sunday. (Results courtesy of The Hendon Mob.)
Soma, the Day 1a chip leader, will enter with the third biggest stack. Soma is aiming to position himself to add another bracelet to his collection with a strong performance on Day 2. Soma won his first piece of hardware when he took down the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Six-Handed event at the 2022 WSOP for nearly half a million dollars. This is Soma’s second cash of the summer.
Simon Higgins
Day 1b chip leader Simon Higgins (2,890,000) is not far behind. Day 1c chip leader Edward Pak and Day 1d chip leader Liran Betito (2,390,000) also come in with top ten stacks.
The 2024 WSOP Main Event Champion is still in the field. Jonathan Tamayo (625,000) still has a seat and a chance at a title on Day 2.
David Baker
