Hallman Smacks the River to Survive

Level 38 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

David "ODB" Baker opened to 2,400,000 in the cutoff and was three-bet to 6,000,000 by Wanda Hallman on the button. The action folded back to Baker, who called.

Baker checked in flow on the AJ7 flop, and Hallman moved all in for 15,900,000, which Baker snap-called.

Wanda Hallman: QQ All in
David "ODB" Baker: AJ

The 6 turn offered Hallman no help, but the Q hit the river, improving her to a tournament lifesaving set.

"Not the one you were looking for, but one you'll take", one of her tablemates said after the river came out.

Lin Stays Alive

Level 38 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Action folded to Ren Lin, who announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to be......ALL IN!" and moved all his remaining 9,300,000 chips into the middle.

Imre Makranyi squeezed his cards and apologised to Lin for the suckout he was going to perform and then made the call.

Ren Lin: 75 All in
Imre Makranyi: 97

Lin was dominated and needed some help to stay alive.

The flop came 7K6 and gave both players a pair. The K peeled off on the turn to improve them to two pair, but Lin was still behind. With the A turning up as the river, both players had the same hand and the pot was chopped!

Jacky Lee open-jammed for 7,400,000 from under the gun and action folded to Narcis Nedelcu in the cutoff, who three-bet to 20,000,000 to isolate. All other players folded.

Jacky Lee: J10 All in
Narcis Nedelcu: AQ

Not the door card Lee wanted to see on the AK6 flop, but he still had outs to stay alive. No queen for Lee on the 5 turn nor the 6 river, and he was sent to the cage.
