Set Over Set

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Rafael Mota limped in the hijack with two players limping behind him and Erik Seidel checked his option in the big blind.

The flop rolled out A98 and Seidel bet 2,500 after action checked to him. Mota raised to 10,000 and only Seidel called the bet.

On the turn 4, Seidel check-called a bet of 20,000 from Mota.

Both players checked the river Q.

"Three eights," said Seidel as he tabled 8876 for a set of eights. It was no good against Mota's 9976 for a set of nines and he took down the pot just before break.

Parssinen and Bromfman Exchanging Chips

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

On a flop of 932, Pedro Bromfman had check-raised to 6,000 from the big blind against Eelis Parssinen's continuation-bet from under the gun, and Parssinen called.

The turn brought the J as Bromfman jammed for his final 17,900, and Parssinen snapped it off.

Eelis Parssinen: AJ

Bromfman had an open-ender with a flush draw against the turned top pair of Parssinen. The river was the 6, and Bromfman made his straight to double.

The next hand, David Coleman opened from the cutoff and was called by Bromfman in the small blind and Parssinen in the big blind.

On the J102 flop, it checked to Coleman, who bet 2,200 before Bromfman check-raised to 11,000. In the big blind, Parssinen then clicked it to 22,000. Coleman folded quickly, and Bromfman also decided to let it go, flashing the J as he folded.

Pot-Limit Omaha

Eugene Golubchik potted to 3,500 in early position and was called by Umang Dattani in the hijack and Robert Cowen in the cutoff. In the big blind, Marc Lattanzi squeezed to 15,000. Golubchik then potted to 52,500, the others folded, and Lattanzi asked for the rest of Golubchik's 81,600 stack.

Marc Lattanzi: KJ109

Lattanzi was hoping to be against aces but he needed some improvement against Golubchik's kings. The A83 flop offered little help, but the 10 turn gave Lattanzi a pair and an open-ender. However, the river was the 5, and Golubchik collected the double.

Barbero Fires Thrice

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Nacho Barbero potted to 3,500 in middle position and was called by Dante Goya in the cutoff, Brian Breck on the button, and Joni Jouhkimainen in the big blind.

On the AK3 flop, Barbero bet 8,000. Goya folded, Breck called, and Jouhkimainen folded.

Nacho led again on the 4 turn for 25,000 and Breck quickly called again.

The 4 river brought in the front door flush and paired the board, but Barbero was not deterred, firing 72,000. Breck took a moment, asking Barbero, "You show if I show?" but he got no response from the Argentinian who sat in silence for a change, and Breck decided to fold.
