Popow Takes the Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Maria Benedetto opened to 300 in early position and got Jian Levine on the button to call. Kim Popow in the small blind called and big blind Jazmin Gamonal in the big blind called under pressure from the others, she said.

The flop came 679. Both the blinds checked and Benedetto continued with 800. Only Popow decided to stay to see the next card.

The small blind passed the action to Benedetto, who kept the pressure high with a 2,200 bet. Popow hung on to see the last card.

With action checked to her for a third time, Benedetto fired 8,000. Popow raised to 17,000 which was what Benedetto left behind. She went into the tank, apologizing to the other women for taking so long. Ultimately, Benedetto conceded her hand and the pot to Popow.
