Two Quick Pots

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Idan Raviv raised to 1,000 from under the gun and called when Ryan Laplante three-bet to 3,500 from the cutoff.

Raviv checked in flow on the 8K10 flop, and folded when Laplante continued for 4,000.

The next hand dealt went three ways to a flop with 7,000 in the pot. The preflop aggressor, Brevin Andreadis, checked on the monotone 824 flop from the small blind, and Laplante checked in the hijack. Nacho Barbero bet 2,700 in the cutoff, which received two quick folds.

Foxen Pays Off Noda

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Heads-up on a completed board of Q441010, Alex Foxen bet the pot for 7,900 from the big blind. Hiroyuki Noda responded by raising to 20,000, which got a perplexed look from Foxen.

Foxen sat back in his seat and tanked a while, but eventually decided to look up Noda, who tabled QQJ7 for queens-full of tens. Foxen sent his cards into the muck upon seeing it, and Noda was sent a nice pot.

Boat For Lopes

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Diogo Lopes limped under the gun, Sam Soverel raised to 1,400 in the hijack, and Louis Werman called in the big blind. Lopes decided to stick around.

The trio saw a flop of 966, and it checked through to the Q turn, where Werman led out for 1,500. Lopes called, and Soverel got out of the way.

On the 5 river, Werman check-called a bet of 2,700 from Lopes, and mucked his cards when Lopes showed QQ83 for a full house, queens full of sixes.

Steinberg Out, Seidel In

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Leonidas Andriopoulos raised to 1,100 from the hijack, which Mark Steinberg called in the cutoff before Wataru Kosugi three-bet to 4,000 on the button. The players in the blinds folded, and Andriopoulos and Steinberg both called.

Andriopoulos checked on the A45 flop, but Steinberg took over the betting lead, potting it for 12,800, which was most of his stack. Kosugi folded, but Andriopoulos raised, putting Steinberg all in, who called.

Mark Steinberg: KJ44 All in
Leonidas Andriopoulos: KK32

Steinberg had flopped a set, but Andriopoulos had the lead with a flopped straight.

Neither the 3 turn nor the J river could save Steinberg, who was eliminated.

Steinberg's seat wasn't empty for long, as Erik Seidel joined the tournament and took the newly vacant seat at the table.

Vaughn Gets Respect

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Defending champion Michael Wang opened to 700 from middle position and was three-bet to 2,000 by Michael Conoran in the cutoff. Drake Kemper called cold on the button, Jeffrey Vaughn called cold in the big blind, and Wang called as well for another inflated multiway pot.

Everyone checked on the 537 flop, and then Vaughn led out for 8,000 on the Q turn. Wang and Conoran folded, but Kemper called.

The 4 fell on the river and Vaughn continued for 15,000. This time Kemper let his hand go after a bit of thought and Vaughn collected the pot.
