Steinberg Takes Four-Way Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Dante Goya raised to 700 under the gun, which Dennis Weiss called in the cutoff, Mark Steinberg called on the button, and Dominykas Karmazinas called in the big blind.

When the action checked to Weiss on a 242 flop, he bet 1,500, which only Steinberg called.

The K turn checked through, but when Weiss checked again on the 5 river, Steinberg bet 5,100. That was enough to claim the pot, as Weiss returned his cards to the dealer.

Keane Gets Paid on the River

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Luke Keane raised to 700 in early position and was called by Ivan Starostin on the button and Brent Wajcman in the big blind.

The flop came 103K and it checked to Keane, who bet 300. Only Wajcman continued to the K turn, where both players checked.

On the 8 river, Wajcman led out for 2,000 and Keane bumped it up to 7,000. Wajcman reluctantly flicked in the call only to see the bad news when Keane tabled AKK3 for quads.

Steinberg's Jacks are Best

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Dennis Weiss limped from the cutoff, and Mark Steinberg limped behind on the button. Wataru Kosugi called in the small blind, and Dominykas Karmazinas checked his option in the big blind.

Action checked through on the 734 flop, and it was then checked to Weiss, who bet 500 on the 7 turn. Steinberg called, and both Kosugi and Karmazinas folded.

Weiss wagered 700 after the 7 completed the board, and Steinberg called. Weiss showed 88 for sevens-full of eights — prompting Steinberg to turn over QJJ4 for sevens-full of jacks to claim the pot.

Flush Wins It for He

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action went three-ways to a flop of 548 where it checked to Xing He on the button, who bet 700. Only Davin Anderson in the cutoff called.

The 5 turn went check, check, as did the Q river.

"Straight," said Anderson showing 76XxXx.

He turned over Q432 for the flush, and the pot was pushed his way.

Goya Doubles, Sztulman Called Back

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Luciano Sztulman
Luciano Sztulman

The action was joined on a 328A board, with roughly 35,000 already in the pot.

Luciano Sztulman and Dante Goya had worked their stacks into the middle, and the cards were flipped over.

Dante Goya: 7654 All in
Luciano Sztulman: AA108

It was top set for Sztulman, but he was behind to the straight of Goya.

When the J river didn't pair the board, Sztulman was up, out of his seat, and heading to the rail.

Once the dealer counted the stacks, he called Sztulman back, realizing he had the slightly larger of the two stacks when the chips went in.

Nice Pickup for Hatzakortzian Without a Showdown

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Edward Hatzakortzian limped from the hijack, Leonid Yanovski limped from the cutoff, and Cary Aronson called in the small blind. Wai Ngai exercised his option in the big blind and raised to 1,000 and everyone called for a bloated four-way pot.

Nobody bet on the 210K flop and then it was checked to Hatzakortzian, who bet 3,000 on the 7 turn. Only Aronson called.

The K completed the board and Aronson check-folded facing a 6,000 bet from Hatzakortzian, who was sent the pot.

Heritsch Folds Out Foxen

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action went four-ways to a flop of 1042, where it checked to the under-the-gun Michael Heritsch, who bet 2,100. Only Alex Foxen in the cutoff called to see the 5 turn.

Heritsch bet again, this time for 6,000, and Foxen thought for a brief moment before tossing his cards into the muck.

Badugi

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Jeffrey Brady limped in from under the gun, and Chris Frank responded with a raise to 900 on the button. Both Leonardo Daviglus and Daniel Hirsh called in the blinds, and Brady came along too.

The 5KQ92 board saw the action check through on all three streets, with all four players reluctant to table their cards at showdown.

Brady tabled a badugi AKJ2 to take it down with two pair.

Delayed Bet Does the Job

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Ivan Starostin raised to 700 in the cutoff, and faced a three-bet to 2,200 from Stephen Hubbard in the big blind, which he called.

Both players checked on the 85Q flop, and when Hubbard put in a delayed continuation-bet of 3,700, Starostin folded.
