More Pots Than a Chef's Cupboard, Casement Removes Three

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action was joined as a couple of players had limped in, and the action was on James Casement on the button. Casement potted it to 6,600, which Christopher Demari called in the big blind, and one of the limpers, Ravi Shankar, called in the hijack. Ryan Torgersen, another of the initial limpers, then announced pot himself, back-jamming for 30,700 from the cutoff.

Casement responded by potting it again. Queue calculators. With nobody at the table able to calculate the size of the bet, one player pulled out a calculator (on his phone), and the table worked together to figure it out.

After several minutes had passed, Casement put 104,000 into the middle. Demari responded by moving all in for roughly 107,500.

"I've made worse calls", Shankar said before putting his own 49,500 into the pot, and Casement called, covering all other players to close the preflop action.

Ryan Torgersen: QJ106 All in
Ravi Shankar: 10763 All in
Christopher Demari: KJ97 All in
James Casement: AA98

Remarkably, after the 2725Q board was laid out, Casement had held on with his aces to score a triple knockout.

Stephen Chidwick

Huabao Chen raised to 3,000 from early position and was called by Stephen Chidwick on the button and Esther Taylor in the big blind.

Taylor checked to Chen, who continued for 5,000 on the 7910 flop. Chidwick moved all in for 18,500 total, which got a fold from Taylor and a reluctant call from Chen after a bit of a tank.

Stephen Chidwick: KJ98All in
Huabao Chen: JJ76

Chidwick had flopped the nuts with his jack-eight, and the 5Q runout changed nothing to award Chidwick a much-needed double up.

Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Action picked up on the river with Chino Rheem, who was in the small blind, in the tank facing a raise from Eelis Parssinen on the button.

With a little over 50,000 in the middle and the board reading 210226, Rheem had bet 6,200 and Parssinen raised to 35,000.

After speaking out loud trying to put Parssinen on a hand, Rheem eventually sent his cards into the muck.

According to the dealer, it was Rheem's very first hand of the tournament.

Sammartino Removes Madsen

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action was joined with 23,500 in the pot, and a 1034 flop face up on the felt.

Jeff Madsen bet 23,500 from the small blind, and Dario Sammartino raised to 94,000 in the big blind. That bet forced Bradley Jansen out on the button, but Madsen responded by calling, putting his stack of roughly 80,000 into the pot.

Jeff Madsen: KK65 All in
Dario Sammartino: AAQ10

Madsen was looking for a king, or any card that completed his straight draw. The deck was unforthcoming, as the J turn and 8 river completed the board, sending Madsen to the rail.
