Day 2 Completed
It was a busy day today for Event #8: $1,500 Badugi here at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for the second day of unsuited action.
A total of 554 players came out for this event to generate a prize pool of $735,435. Just 99 of these players returned for Day 2 today and only 84 would be in the money and guaranteed a minimum cash of $2,999. However, by night's end, ten players remained in contention for the WSOP bracelet and the first-place prize of $141,963.

The vast majority of his tournament results have come in No-Limit Hold'em, but he showed today that he can get it done in the limit format as well.

Yuri Dzivielevski raised from the hijack and Jon Turner three bet in the small blind. Dzivielevski four-bet to put Turner all in and Turner obliged.
Both players stood pat for every draw until the last one where Dzivielevski pitched one.
Jon Turner: J♣8♥5♦2♠
Yuri Dzivielevski: 10♦9♥6♠ Xx
Dzivielevski drew a 6♥ to see Turner’s jack be good for the pot.
Yuri Dzivielevski raised from the hijack, Antoine Chuzeville three-bet from the button, Jon Turner called in the big blind, Dzivielevski made it four bets, Chuzeville raised all-in for 185,000 total, Turner completed the bet to the 200,000 cap, and Dzivielevski called.
Turner drew one and the others stood pat. Turner check-called a bet from Dzivielevski on the side pot.
Turner drew one again and checked, Dzivielevski bet all-in for 60,000, and Turner called.
On the final draw, Turner took one. Dzivielevski accidentally tabled his hand, not knowing that Chuzeville still had the option to break. Upon seeing Dzivielevski's hand, Chuzeville broke his hand and drew one.
Antoine Chuzeville: 9♥8♦4♠
Yuri Dzivielevski: 10♣6♠5♥A♦
Jon Turner: 4♥3♦A♠
Chuzeville went first and he peeled a 6♥ and was eliminated in 11th. On the side pot, Turner peeled a no-side club. With the ace of clubs already dead from his previous draw, he was 50-50 to make the wheel. However, it was the 3♣ and he made a pair. Dzivielevski scooped both pots to eliminate Chuzeville and leave Turner short again.
Action was picked up in a pot between Scott Seiver in the small blind and Brant Hale in the big blind with Seiver having bet after the first draw.
Hale raised and Seiver thought for a little bit before calling, both players standing pat on the second draw.
Seiver checked on the second betting round and then called the bet from Hale.
On the final betting round, Seiver checked and Hale checked behind and mucked after seeing Seiver table a 9♣8♦6♥5♠ for a nine and it was good for the pot.
Michael Casella raised under the gun and Chris Moneymaker tossed in his last 30,000 from the cutoff.
Casella stayed pat the whole time and Moneymaker drew one every draw.
Chris Moneymaker: 9♠5♥2♣
Michael Casella: 10♦7♠4♥3♣
Moneymaker was drawing live against the dealt ten of Casella, but unfortunately for him he peeled the 6♠ on the end, and he was eliminated in 12th.
