Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Dylan Lew
Dylan Lew

Maurice Hawkins went all-in from under-the-gun for 5,800,000 before Dylan Lew went all-in himself for 5,500,000 on the button. Everyone else cleared out as Hawkins and Lew went to a showdown, with Lew at risk.

Dylan Lew: AQAll in
Maurice Hawkins: AK

Hawkins was in a prime position to score the knockout as they went to a runout. The flop favored Hawkins as it came 61010, but it did present some chop outs.

Any idea of a chop disintegrated on the Q turn as Lew took the lead in the hand. Hawkins had plenty of outs with spades working for him and a straight draw.

Lew escaped elimination when the 8 came on the river as Hawkins was left with only 300,000.

The very next hand, Hawkins was forced all-in from the big blind. Yanting Jiang made it 1,200,000 from the hijack, and the rest of the table folded as she went to a showdown against Hawkins.

Maurice Hawkins: Q10All in
Yanting Jiang: A3

Jiang held the slight edge preflop, but Hawkins gained more outs on the 8KJ flop with an open-ended straight draw.

The Q turn was a friend to Hawkins despite being the bane of his tournament just the hand before.

Hawkins held on the 3 river to stay alive despite running on fumes.

Chahn Jung opened to 1,200,000 from early position and Vasileios Panagiotidis three-bet to 4,000,000 from the hijack. Jung went into a tank but eventually folded. Panagiotidis flashed his ace-king to the table and Jung said he folded ace-queen.

A few hands later Vasileios Panagiotidis opened to 1,200,000 from under the gun and Punnat Punsri three-bet to 3,500,000 from the cutoff. Chahn Jung four-bet for 6,300,000 on the button and Panagiotidis mucked his hand quickly. It took a little while for Punsri to do the same, but Jung got back some chips from the table.

The 8KK flop led to a check from Lew. Rocco continued for 800,000, and Lew called.

Lew checked again on the 4 turn. Rocco fired a second salvo for 4,200,000, leaving a single green 25,000 chip behind. Lew gave it some consideration, but opted to fold as Rocco took in the pot.

Chahn Jung got the action started with an open to 1,000,000 on the button before Yanting Jiang made the call out of the big blind.

The AKQ flop led to a check from Jiang. Jung chose to continue for 825,000. Jiang stuck around with a call.

Jiang checked the 4 turn before Jung put out a second barrel of 2,200,000. Jiang was unfazed by it and made the call.

The action hit a standstill on the 10 river as both players checked to go to a showdown.

Jiang showed Q4 for two pair, which was good as Jung tossed his hand into the muck, narrowing the gap between first and second in chips.

Hawkins stood from the table, slammed a stack of chips into the pot and flipped over his hand.

Luis Yepez: KQAll in
Maurice Hawkins: 109

Yepez was ahead but the 648 flop saw Hawkins call for a, "Seven...seven...seven" to fall on the turn or river to give him the straight.

There was no change on the J turn and 3 river and Yepez held with king high.

Hawkins showed 99 for an overpair to the board. It was good as Panagiotidis mucked his hand in response.
