Mizrachi Chops to Survive

Dylan Weisman raised in the hijack, and Robert Mizrachi called all-in for exactly one bet in the small blind. Todd Brunson also came along in the big blind, after which he and Weisman checked down the 38492 board.

Weisman tabled AK63 for a six-low and a pair. Mizrachi had AQ73 for the nut flush, and Brunson's cards were mucked as he could not beat either hand.

The two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner is back at the WSOP this summer with a "positive" mindset, hoping to win her first bracelet since the pre-Moneymaker era. Harman, a Las Vegas local, spoke to PokerNews on a Day 1 break in Event #9: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, her first event of the summer.

Ryan Bambrick raised in the hijack, and Philip Long called in the big blind. Bambrick continued with a bet on the AK7 flop, which Long check-called.

Both players knuckled the table on the 9 turn, and Long checked a third time on the Q river. Bambrick reaggressed with a bet, and Long called after a small tank.

Bambrick tabled AJ102 for the nuts, and Long sent his cards to the muck in defeat.

Dylan Weisman bet from the big blind on a flop of 107J and Scott Clements called under the gun, as did James Chen in the hijack.

Weisman bet again on the J turn, and only Chen called this time. The river was the 3 and Weisman put out another bet. Chen folded, and Weisman took the pot.

James Obst bet from under the gun on a flop of 5KA and Ryan Bambrick called in the big blind.

Obst bet again on the 3 turn, but Bambrick came back with a raise this time. Obst gave up his hand.

Phil Hellmuth then raised on the button and Obst called in the big blind.

Hellmuth bet on the JKA flop and Obst raised. "One of these days, huh," Hellmuth said as he called.

Obst checked the 2 turn, Hellmuth bet, and Obst folded. Hellmuth flashed AJ as he took the pot.

"I'm trying to figure out what chapter that angle is from," Josh Arieh said to Hellmuth.

David Lin Eliminated in 13th Place ($25,900)

David Lin opened from the hijack, and big blind John Esposito tossed in defending chips. Esposito then check-raised Lin's continuation-bet on the Q7J flop, and Lin called to the 4 turn.

Lin had exactly one bet back, and he called all-in once Esposito pushed more chips into the pot.

Lin just had a low draw against Esposito's flopped flush, but the J river was a high card to send Lin packing in 13th.

Phil Hellmuth raised in middle position, Rob Hollink flicked in a third bet on the button, and Hellmuth called once the blinds had folded.

Hellmuth then led out on the 248 flop. Hollink called to the 8 turn, where Hellmuth fired a second barrel. Hollink weighed his options before he raised all in, with Hellmuth making a swift call.

Hollink was drawing dead for the high and needed a low card to receive a quarter of the pot, but Hellmuth rivered quads on the 8 instead to send the Dutchman to the rail.

Weisman Leaves Lin Short; Hellmuth Not a Believer Against Bambrick

Dylan Weisman raised in the hijack and David Lin three-bet on the button. Weisman then four-bet, and Lin called.

Weisman bet every street on the 98394 board. Lin called down to the river, but he then gave up his hand and left himself with just one big bet remaining.

At the other table, Ryan Bambrick bet from the big blind on a board of 94410 and Phil Hellmuth called in the small blind.

Bambrick bet again on the 8 river, and Hellmuth sighed before calling once more. Bambrick then showed KJ43 for trips to win the pot.

"I didn't believe you. I saw you lost a lot of chips, I figured you would bluff it off," Hellmuth said.

"It's a new day," Bambrick replied.
