Death by Quads For Hansen

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen and Dylan Weisman went to the turn on a board of 34J4 when Hansen bet from the big blind. Weisman then raised in the cutoff.

"Let's see if I have the discipline," Hansen said before eventually calling off his last chips. He showed AQQ8, but Weisman had quads with A744. The river was the 5 and Weisman also made a low to scoop the pot and send Hansen to the rail.

"That was a nice decision on the turn," Hansen said on his way to the exit.

Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Scott Clements open-raised under the gun, and Joao Vieira called all-in in middle position. Ryan Bambrick and James Chen came along from the blinds, and the K103 flop was fanned.

Bambrick checked, Chen bet, and Clements raised. Bambrick then folded, but Chen came along with a call.

Another bet and call flew in on the 9 turn, after which the 8 river was checked to showdown.

Chen tabled K1097 for top two pair, taking down the pot against Clements' K932, and eliminating Vieira with his A874.

The board ran out 863104, and Milgrom made the nut flush with the nut low to scoop the pot and double up.

"There's supposed to be four other players in there," he said.

"The one time you don't get four callers," Yehuda Buchalter added.

Schreiber Loses Final Chip

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Matthew Schreiber
Matthew Schreiber

Matthew Schreiber tossed in his last T-5,000 chip under the gun. Christian Harder then limped in from the small blind, and Jason Kluska checked his option in the big blind.

Harder fired a bet on the J106 flop, and Kluska called. Harder bet again when the 10 fell on the turn, taking down the side pot as Kluska let his cards go.

Harder tabled AAAK for aces and tens, and Schreiber already mucked his cards and walked away, claiming he was drawing dead, as the 7 river completed the board.
