Haruhiko Shinohara was the first to act and opened to 10,000. Biao Ding responded with a three-bet from the next seat over to 35,000. Henrik Hecklen wanted even more chips in the pot as he opted to four-bet to 60,000. Shinohara folded his hand, but Ding made the call as the pot swelled up preflop.
Ding checked the 7♦7♠5♥ flop before Hecklin continued for 30,000. Ding was undeterred and made the call.
The A♦ turn was checked again by Ding. Hecklin put an even smaller size bet on the turn than he did the flop when he wagered 20,000. Ding stuck around with another call.
Ding opted to lead for 155,000 on the 8♥ river. Hecklin did not think long before he yielded the pot with a fold.
Aliaksandr Shylko raised to 10,000 from under the gun, Amir Mirrasouli called in the cutoff then Samuel Mullur raised to 50,000 from the big blind. Shylko called and Mirrasouli made the fold.
Mullur fired out a bet of 35,000 when the flop came 3♥J♣6♠, and Shylko called. The 3♠ saw Muller fire again for 70,000, and Shylko called.
Mullur decided to put Shylko to the test and went all in for 120,000 on the K♦ river. Shylko went deep into the tank and eventually made the fold.
Chang Lee opened the action with a raise to 10,000 from the cutoff. Daniel Negreanu joined the fray with a call on the button, and Jungyeon Won defended his big blind to create a three-handed pot.
It checked to Negreanu on the 10♠9♦3♦ flop before he chose to bet 20,000. Won folded, but Lee stuck around with a call.
The J♦ led to another check from Lee. Negreanu kept his foot on the gas and put out a bet of 40,000. Lee was done with the hand as he folded to award the pot to Negreanu.
Nazar Buhaiov raised to 11,000 from middle position, Josef Schusteritsch called on the button then Marius Gierse went all in for 131,000 from the big blind. Buhaiov who covered Gierse asked for a count then also went all in once the dealer confirmed, and Schusteritsch folded.
Marius Gierse: A♦Q♠
Nazar Buhaiov: A♠K♠
The board ran out 3♥4♣9♠6♠J♣, and Gierse was eliminated.
Pavel Plesuv's reentry is going much better than the first after being on the winning end of this hand.
The hand began when John Pannucci shoved for his final 67,000 from middle position. Igor Yaroshevskyy jammed in response for 166,000 from the cutoff. Pavel Plesuv woke up with a hand in the big blind and made the call to put both Pannucci and Yaroshevskyy at risk as they went to a showdown.
John Pannucci: 10♠8♠
Igor Yaroshevskyy: A♣K♣
Pavel Plesuv: A♦A♥
Plesuv was in a dream spot as he picked up aces to put both his opponents in a quandary with five cards to go.
The 6♦10♥4♠ flop paired up Pannucci, but Plesuv remained in the lead.
Plesuv held on the 6♣ turn, and the K♦ river was not enough for either of his opponents as he scored the double knockout.
This hand was picked up on a complete board of Q♦8♣10♦3♣7♦ with approximately 35,000 in the middle.
John Pannucci checked his option from the small blind before Sebastian Gaehl chose to bet 35,000 on the river.
Pannucci responded with a check-raise to 142,000 that sent Gaehl into the tank.
Gaehl played two time banks before he eventually put in the call.
Gaehl made the correct decision because Pannucci flipped over A♦2♠ for ace high. Gaehl showed Q♠4♠ for a pair of queens to claim the pot that escalated quickly on the river.
There were roughly 90,000 chips in the pot on 8♣9♠4♣J♥.
Zach Bruch in the big blind bet 55,000, and Raoul Kanme on the button made the call. The A♥ landed on the river and Bruch counted out 91,000 and put it in the middle. Kanme went deep into the take and after he used two time banks, he decided to fold.
A series of raises resulted in an all-in and call between Timur Margolin in the cutoff and Aliaksandr Shylko on the button, with Shylko at risk for 183,500 total as they went to a showdown.
Aliaksandr Shylko: J♥J♦
Timur Margolin: A♥Q♦
It was a fair fight between Shylko's pocket jacks and Margolin's overcards.
The flop favored Margolin when it came 6♠4♦A♦ to give him top pair.
Shylko's despair did not last long as he would spike a two outer on the J♣ turn to retake the lead and seal the deal.
The meaningless 9♣ river came to complete the board as Shylko avoided elimination with a set of jacks.
