Kim Heads Home

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Daniel Kim and Andreas Hagen got it all in preflop from the button and big blind respectively, with the former at risk.

Daniel Kim: QJ109 All in
Andreas Hagen: AKJ2

The 3K964 runout left Hagen's top-top in the lead, as Kim headed for an ever-so slightly earlier dinner break than the rest of the field.

Taking an Extended Dinner Break

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Casement Delays Until River

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

James Casement raised to 42,000 under the gun, and only Ronan Hanley called in the big blind.

The action checked through on both the J28 flop and the 3 turn, but when Hanley checked for a third time, Casement fired 40,000 into the pot.

Hanley folded whilst trying to gain some information from Casement.

"Did you have the ace-high flush?" he asked.

"No, no flush, but I had a good hand. I was hoping to get something out of you", Casement replied.

"I had a good hand too, but I thought you were strong", Hanley said, but got no further information back.

Vieth More Than Doubles

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action was picked up on the flop.

With a board reading K76, action had checked around to Giorgos Tsoupras in the cutoff who bet 200,000 to leave himself 1,000 behind. On the button, Mason Vieth moved all in for 518,000 and action was on Robert Cowen who debated his predicament.

"I'll give you a spin," Cowen said after a couple minutes of thought as he put in the call and Tsoupras called behind him.

Giorgos Tsoupras: AA108 All in
Mason Vieth: 7755 All in
Robert Cowen: 9988

Nothing changed on the runout of 2K and Vieth more than doubled up at the expense of Tsoupras and Cowen.

Pot Pot Pot

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich opened to 30,000 from the button, and Krasimir Yankov defended his big blind.

Yankov then checked-called another barrel of 30,000 on the 310J flop, bringing the two to a 2 turn.

Yankov checked again, and this time Geilich fired out a pot-sized bet of 138,000. Yankov didn't take too long before calling, and the 8 peeled off on the river.

Yankov checked for a third time, and Geilich had no intentions of slowing down as he went full pot again, sliding in 414,000. Yankov looked him up, and his opponent tabled KQ76 for an airball.

"Pot, pot, pot," Yankov complained about his opponent's bets as he tabled A1082 for two pair and the win.

Trips for Both, Double for Taylor

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Thomas Taylor
Thomas Taylor

With roughly 70,000 in the pot and a board dealt to a A6610 turn, Thomas Taylor had worked his stack of 130,000 into the middle from the cutoff and was at risk versus Jack Moore in the big blind.

Thomas Taylor: QQ64 All in
Jack Moore: 9653

Both players had flopped trips, but crucially Taylor had the lead on account of his superior kicker. The A had no effect on the standings, and Taylor doubled through Moore.

Vogele Sends Nepom Home

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jacob Nepom potted to 42,000 from the hijack. Vincent Robert then announced that he would like to make a pot-sized raise on the button, the total being 144,000. Octavian Vogele flatted in the big blind, and Nepom called all in for less.

The 9A10 flop was dealt, and Vogele instantly announced "all in." Robert chuckled to himself, before showing the K and folding.

Jacob Nepom: A772 All in
Octavian Vogele: QJ99

"I guess I could go running aces," said Nepom, and lo and behold the A appeared on the turn to keep Nepom drawing live. The 5 river wasn't one of his outs, however, as Vogele continued to add to his stack.
