Erik Friberg raised to 50,000 under the gun, and upon facing a three-bet from James Casement on the button, moved all in for 280,000, which Casement called.
Erik Friberg: K♠K♣Q♣3♥
James Casement: A♦A♣10♥9♦
The J♥6♠7♦10♠4♦ board offered no relief for Friberg, who had run into aces, and his run was ended in 33rd place.
Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Alex Livingston in the hijack and Peter Cross on the button.
The board read J♠J♦10♠6♣ and Livingston bet 280,000 with 600,000 in the middle, to see Cross call.
On the J♣ river, Livingston bet 880,000 and Cross thought for a couple of minutes before folding.
Joshua Wang called from the cutoff and in the big blind, Qingyu Lu checked his option.
The flop rolled out J♠5♣3♣ and Lu check-called a bet of 25,000 from Wang.
On the turn 10♦, both players checked to the river J♥ where Lu bet 55,000 and Wang called.
"You got it," said Lu as Wang tabled A♠Q♦5♦4♦ for jacks and fives.
The action was joined as Nicholas Palma moved all in for around 365,000 from the small blind on a 7♣4♦8♠ flop. The all-in was roughly a pot-sized bet, and Octavian Vogele wasted no time at all in calling on the button, putting Palma at risk.
Nicholas Palma: A♦K♦K♣5♣
Octavian Vogele: 6♥4♣3♣2♥
The 9♠ turn kept Palma in the lead, but the 2♣ river improved Vogele to bottom two pair, sending Palma to the rail.
Daniel Swartz raised to 55,000 in the cutoff, and only Joshua Wang called on the button.
Swartz continued with an 80,000 bet on a 7♦Q♥10♥ flop, and Wang called again.
The 4♠ turn saw a change in aggressor, as Swartz this time check-called when Wang took over the betting to the tune of 155,000.
Swartz check-called again on the K♠ river, this time for 245,000. Wang tabled J♣10♦9♥8♥ for a straight, and Swartz flipped over the same hand with his Q♠J♠9♣3♣, seeing the two players profit one and a half big blinds each.
Mason Vieth raised to 40,000 on the button to see Yu Liu raise to 120,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Vieth who moved all in for 220,000 effective and Liu called to put himself at risk.
Yu Liu: A♠Q♠Q♣5♥
Mason Vieth: 10♠10♣8♦5♦
The board ran out A♣Q♦3♦9♣8♣ and the set of queens was good for Liu to double up at the expense of Vieth.
Three ways to a Q♣5♥7♥ flop with 265,000 already in the pot, Pakinai Lisawad and Christopher Vitch checked from the hijack and cutoff, and Leandro Tondato bet 150,000 on the button. Lisawad folded, but Vitch called.
Vitch took over as the aggressor on the J♣ turn, leading for pot, putting 565,000 into the middle. That shook out Tondato, who wasted little time in returning his cards to the dealer.
