Hellmuth Loses Two

Phil Hellmuth raised to 450,000 under the gun. Joshua Stewart tossed in a small three-bet to 725,000, which Hellmuth called.

Pupillo continued for 450,000 on the 7♣7♥5♦ flop.

"I'm folding a pair," Hellmuth claimed. "If you don't have a pair, good bet."

The next hand Nick Pupillo made it 400,000 in the cutoff, and Hellmuth defended in the big blind.

The duo checked through the 8♦6♥3♥ flop, prompting Hellmuth to lead out for 600,000 on the Q♠ turn. Pupillo called to the 10♦ river, which was quickly checked to showdown.

"I missed," Hellmuth admitted as he tabled 7♦5♦. Pupillo just had a pair of sixes with A♣6♠, but it was enough to take the pot.

Rabinowitz picked his betting lead back up on the 10♣ river, firing 400,000 into the middle. That received a quick fold from Pupillo, as he surrendered the pot to Rabinowitz.

Pupillo spiked an ace on the 7♥A♦2♠ flop to take the lead. The 6♦ turn meant only a jack on the river could save Belcher.

It wasn't to be, as the 2♣ completed the board, and Belcher became the next elimination of the final table in eighth place.

On the Q♦4♣4♠ flop, Hellmuth check-raised Pupillo's continuation-bet of 400,000 to 800,000. Pupillo called the min-raise, seeing Hellmuth check in the dark for a second time afterward.

Pupillo checked back once he saw the 3♥ turn, prompting Hellmuth to bet 900,000 on the K♣ river. Pupillo swiftly gave up on the hand, and Hellmuth tabled K♥Q♠ as he raked in the chips.
