Bernard Lee Knocks Out a Player

Level 2 : 50/75, 25 ante

Paul Volpe raised from the hijack to 200. The cutoff then three-bet to 725. Bernard Lee called on the button, as did the big blind and Volpe.

The big blind drew one, Volpe announced, "Let's gamble!" and drew two, the cutoff stood pat, and Lee drew one.

It checked to the cutoff who bet 2,200. Lee, who covered the other three players, then raised enough to put them all in. The player in the big blind and Volpe both snap-folded but the cutoff thought for a while.

Eventually he called, but mucked when shown the of Lee.

Another Former Main Event Champ and a Runner-Up Join

Level 2 : 50/75, 25 ante

The 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion, Ryan Riess, just hopped into the $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw. A few other recognizable faces have also joined. Erik Seidel, who finished second in the 1988 WSOP Main Event to Johnny Chan (which you probably know from the scene in Rounders), has also joined. Since that runner-up finish, Seidel has won eight WSOP gold bracelets including two No-Limit 2-7 titles.

Paul Volpe has won two WSOP events, one of his bracelets was for the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship for $253,524.

Nick Yunis has $1.3-million in tournament winnings but has yet to win a bracelet. He is currently very short-stacked and might have some trouble bouncing back since three-time bracelet winner Barry Greenstein and James Obst are also at his table.

Steven Klein Pulls Off Monster Bluff

Adam Owen opened to 250 from the cutoff and Steven Klein three-bet to 850. Chris Bjorin cold-called in the small blind and Owen called as well.

Bjorin and Owen drew one and Klein stood pat. Bjorin checked and Owen bet 1,600. Klein then raised to 4,600. Bjorin folded and, after some consideration, so did Owen.

Klein didn't hesitate as he flung across the table and took down the pot.

Jameson Painter and Eric Wasserson Tangle Again

Eric Wasserson raised to 200 and Jameson Painter called in the big blind. Painter drew one and Wasserson stood pat.

Painter then bet 500 and Wasserson called.

Painter showed and Wasserson took a second to double check his cards before showing his own , but mucking the remaining two cards face down.

Painter now sits on over double starting stack midway through the second level of the day.

Former World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Greg Raymer is in the field. He has had a busy day and is already onto his second bullet. This tournament allows one reentry and Raymer busted the first time when he made against .

Raymer now sits with just under 7,000.

First Level Gamble from Eric Wasserson

A few minutes ago, we saw Eric Wasserson open blind on blind and the small blind called. He stood pat and his opponent drew two. He bet and his opponent folded, and Wasserson laughed as he turned over a number one and took down the pot.

A while later, Wasserson was seen to open blind from under the gun. He got two callers and action was on Jameson Painter.

"If you don't raise..." said Wasserson, and Painter three-bet to 600. Wasserson looked at his cards and then moved all in for over 3,000.

The other players in the hand folded and Wasserson took down the pot.

Luis Velador v. Rick Alvarado

Rick Alvarado opened from early position to 200 and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Luis Velador reraised in position. Velador made it 875 and Alvarado took a moment before calling.

Both players stood pat relatively quickly and Alvarado checked. Velador bet 1,100. Alvarado took a moment, then folded.
