Crain Triples Up

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

The player under the gun raised, and the next player called, as did daily fantasy sports legend Eric Crain from the big blind. On the {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, Crain led out, the next player raised, and everyone called.

The action was the same on the {K-Hearts} turn with Crain's call putting him all in.

The two remaining players checked the {5-Clubs} river, and the second player announced, "Three fives," and showed {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Crain said, "I have a booaaat," and showed {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} for the winning full house.

Richburg Among Big Stacks

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

James Richburg raised from under the gun and Jason Stockfish called on the button. On the {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, Richburg check-called a bet before checking again the {5-Clubs} turn. Stockfish bet again and Richburg called before eventually check-folding the {8-Hearts} river. He claimed a pot soon after and is in contention for the chip lead at the end of the day.

"I wasn't even the chip leader on my previous table, Jim Douglas had more," Richburg added while stacking the chips. One table over is fellow big stack Pete Linton while John Monnette and Walter Treccarichi have recently built their stacks.

Bojang Bluffed and Chopped Up, Zarate Follows

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Ismael Bojang
Ismael Bojang

Seven-Card Stud

Ismael Bojang: {X-}{X-} / {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} / {X-}
Jason Stockfish: {X-}{X-} / {5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / {X-}
Eric Crain: {X-}{X-} / {8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} / {X-}

A three-way pot saw Jason Stockfish take on short stacks Ismael Bojang and Eric Crain. The latter shoved on seventh street for his last 1,400, and Stockfish folded. Bojang just grinned with even fewer chips behind, and the entire table laughed. "I can beat queens and a bluff," he said before folding.

Crain flashed {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for said bluff, and Bojang let out an expletive. He folded the next two hands.

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

Ivan Zarate: {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} / {5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} / {6-Hearts}
Jason Stockfish: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} / {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} / {X-}
Opponent: {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} / {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} / {5-Spades}

Shortly thereafter, Stockfish completed, and Ivan Zarate called. Bojang called all in for just 200 with a king showing before another player with a ten raised. Stockfish reraised, and Zarate moved all in for 3,600 total. The opponent called with some 1,600 chips behind, and Stockfish called, then also called the all in after fourth street with rolled up queens. Bojang didn't catch anything, nor did the other player in the hand, while Zarate caught a low, and Stockfish claimed the high half.

Zarate's luck didn't last long; he got it in three ways with Mihails Morozovs and Ashish Gupta. The former got the low half, Gupta the high, and Zarate was eliminated as Brandon Shack-Harris arrived at the table.

Shack-Harris Stumped

Seven-Card Stud

Completer: {X-}{X-} / {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} / {X-}
Brandon Shack-Harris: {X-}{X-} / {J-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} / {X-}

Brandon Shack Harris raised, and the completer called. On fourth street, both players checked, and Shack-Harris called a bet on fifth street. On sixth and seventh streets, Shack-Harris bet, and his opponent called. Shack-Harris announced, "Jacks up," but it was no good against his opponent's {A-}{4-}{4-} for aces up.

Post-Break Counts

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

On a hand that went into the break, Michael Mizrachi stacked Adam Owen in stud with kings full of sixes over Owen's trip sevens.

Interestingly, Mike Leah is playing this while also still alive in Event #12: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em. Jason Mercier, who is also a part of the tough table, is currently not present, as he's playing his second-round match in Event #15: $10,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship.

Wolansky In Need of Help

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Adam Crawford check-called a bet from Steven Wolansky on the {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, and did so again on the {J-Spades} turn. After the {9-Hearts} river, Crawford checked again, and Wolansky checked behind with just over a big bet remaining.

Wolansky announced his ace-king and tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, and Crawford had that beat with {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} for two pair.

One hand later, Crawford raised and called a three-bet by the cutoff before check-calling a bet on the {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} flop. On the {9-Hearts} turn, he checked again, and his opponent bet. Ultimately, Crawford folded, and the table was broken right after.

Win Some, Lose Some

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

Jean Montury: {X-}{X-} / {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} / {X-}
Randy Ohel: {X-}{X-} / {K-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs} / {X-}

Randy Ohel scooped a pot with a queen-high straight against an opponent who had ace-to-four showing and could not get a low or straight.

Ohel was promptly involved in the next hand versus Jean Montury, too. The Frenchman paired his ten on fourth street and bet all further streets. Ohel called every bet, though the last two reluctantly, and Montury turned over {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for trips tens to scoop the pot.
