Linton the Table Captain

Level 6 : 400/800, 0 ante

Omaha Hi Lo

Pete Linton raised from early position and picked up a single caller in the cutoff. On the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, nothing much happened as both players checked. Linton then bet the {9-Spades} turn and was called before doing so again on the {6-Diamonds} river. His opponent called and rolled over {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the low. Linton tabled {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} for two pairs and claimed the other portion of the pot.

"I got lucky," the cutoff said.

Linton replied, "No, I got lucky. Oh, wait. I was winning as I had the five ... silly game."

Linton then lost the next hand in razz with an eighty-seven before forcing a fold from another opponent the following hand by betting through all streets and forcing a fold on fifth.

Pescatori Doubles Up

Level 6 : 400/800, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud

Max Pescatori: {X-}{X-} / {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} / {X-}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} / {X-}

Joining the action on fourth street, Max Pescatori bet with a suited ace-deuce showing and his sole remaining opponent check-called with kings before doing so again on fifth street. The sixth street paired the nine and Pescatori bet again with very few chips behind, which he then got in after seventh street.

His opponent called and wanted to muck when Pescatori flashed {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{A-Clubs} for a flush, but as per all-in showdown rules, his {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} was revealed.

Hani Awad
Hani Awad

Limit Hold'em

Hani Awad called a raise from a player in early position and saw the flop of {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}, which triggered a continuation bet and a call by Awad on the button. After the {7-Spades} turn the same action took place before the opponent of Awad checked the {A-Hearts} river. Awad bet and received the call, rolling over {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for a straight.

His opponent only had {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and showed them with a sigh on the face.
