Yevgeniy Timoshenko Eliminated, Julien Martini Advances

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

With the board reading {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} and a pile of chips in the middle, Julien Martini checked in the big blind. Yevgeniy Timoshenko moved all in for 35,300, and Martini went into the tank. He rubbed his head and thought for over two minutes before putting forward his remaining stack of 30,800.

Timoshenko showed {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} for queen-high, and Martini tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for ace-high with the king-high flush draw. He did a silent fist pump in celebration of the correct call, and the {10-Spades} river improved him to a flush.

Timoshenko matched Martini's stack and was left with just 4,500 chips.

In the next hand, Timoshenko called Martini's button shove in the big blind with pocket sevens against Martini's {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}, but Martini found a queen on the river to eliminate Timoshenko and move on to the next round.

Andrew Lichtenberger and Justin Bonomo Advance

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Keith Block raised to 5,200 on the button, and Andrew Lichtenberger went all in from the big blind. Block called for his remaining 41,000, and they showed down.

Lichtenberger: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Block: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

It was a coin flip, but Lichtenberger took the lead on the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop. The {2-Diamonds} turn and the {A-Hearts} river couldn't save Block, and he was eliminated.

Just after that, Justin Bonomo defeated Patrick Leonard to advance to the next round, which is about to get started.
