Two No-Limit Hold'em Hands

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Chris Vitch checked in the small blind on a completed board of {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Jared Bleznick announced a bet of 37,000, and Vitch tanked about 90 seconds before calling. Bleznick turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and took the pot when Vitch knuckled the table.

At another table, Chris Klodnicki got his remaining 27,500 in preflop with {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} against the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of Tommy Hang. The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}, clean for Klodnicki to double.

Freeman Approaches 300K

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

James Obst raised the button to 10,000 and both Joseph Couden and Zachary Freeman called from the blinds and drew two as Obst drew three.

Couden bet out 5,000 and Freeman raised as Obst folded. Couden called, and then drew one as Freeman also drew one.

Couden checked, Freeman bet 10,000 and Couden called before both players drew one.

After the final draw, both players checked and Couden tabled his {6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}{2-} while Freeman would be pushed the pot when he tabled his {K-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Counts and a Hand from Table 714

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Roland Israelashvili opened for 7,400 in second position, and Mike Matusow made it 25,500 from the small blind. After tanking about two minutes, Israelashvili called. On the {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop, Matusow checked. Israelashvili bet 28,000 or so, and Matusow tanked awhile.

"I beat two jacks," he said.

After another 30 seconds or so, he folded, then said he actually had two tens.

Big O

Lyle Berman had a bet of 35,600 in front of him in the cutoff on a board of {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Jon Turner had 5,000 in front of him and thought a couple of minutes before making the call in the big blind. On the {7-Spades} river, both players checked.

"Straight," Berman announced, throwing {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} onto the felt.

"It's good," Turner said.

"You're a tricky bastard, Lyle," someone said.

"Would you like to know the truth?" Berman said. "I had no idea I had a straight. I knew I had hearts."

Hirvonen Eliminated by Eichhorn

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades} with 15,200 in the middle, Mikko Hirvonen was all in for his last 23,400 against Dennis Eichhorn.

Eichhorn: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Hirvonen: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {10-Spades} and {Q-Spades} to see Eichhorn river the nut straight while Hirvonen held the second-nut straight.

Gronning Crippled Under One Bet

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Badacey

Lars Gronning (big blind) and David Prociak (button) each had 20,000 in front of them after the second draw. Gronning drew two and Prociak patted. On the final round, Gronning bet and Prociak called.

"Ten and a six-badugi," Gronning announced.

Prociak had it beat, though, as he had {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for a five-badugi and a ten-five low. He scooped and left Gronning with less than one big bet.
