The Maria Ho Show

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Vitaly Lunkin opened for 2,200 from late position and got one call from Maria Ho in the big blind.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. A check from Ho saw a continuation bet of 2,500 from Lunkin. Ho responded with a check-raise to 7,000. There was a slight pause before Lunkin called the bet.

The turn card was the {2-Clubs} and Ho led out for 15,000.

Lunkin started puzzling it out. Ho had a big stack of chips behind her. Lunkin, on the other hand, had only 38,000 left.

Eventually Lunkin folded his hand and Ho showed respect to her opponent by revealing her {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a flopped set.

Allyn Shulman Out-Kicked

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Following a flop of {10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Allyn Shulman called an all-in bet from her opponent who was at risk as Shulman had the bigger stack.

Shulman had top pair with {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} but her opponent had slightly the better of it with {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

“Nice spot.” Shulman said to her opponent.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {5-Clubs}, and Shulman's opponent picked up the pot.

Among those to boost their stacks in the orange section were Harry Lodge, Ben Yu and Jeffrey Turton while Ari Engel and Darryll Fish dropped to less than the starting stack. Fish just got some chips back though after doubling through Turton.

Turton raised to 3,300 from the button and Fish shoved out of the big blind with 10,400 to pick up a call by Turton.

Darryll Fish: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Jeffrey Turton: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

"Nines have been good for me today," Turton said before the flop fell {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Turton added "ten for the sweat" and he got exactly what he wanted with the {10-Spades}. However, the {A-Clubs} river was a blank and Fish doubled.

JC Wallace Sends His Opponent Out the Door in a Hurry

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A player in middle position raised to 2,200 and got called by a player to his left and Josh "JC" Wallace in the big blind. The flop fell {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and the action was checked around to the {2-Clubs} landing on the turn.

Wallace checked and the pre-flop raiser bet 3,500 which was called by the other opponent. Wallace raised to 7,800 and was only called by the initial better. The river brought the {Q-Diamonds} and Wallace moved all-in having his opponent covered. His opponent went into the tank with his tournament life on the line and around 24,500 in front of him.

There was no action for over two minutes and another player on the table chose to call the clock. Once the floor was called over, Wallace's opponent threw in chips for a call and Wallace tabled {K-Hearts}{2-Spades}. His opponent mucked his hand and took off through the Amazon Room doors before the pot could even be shipped Wallace's way.

Wade Doubles Through Patel

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Tristan Wade
Tristan Wade

After a raise to 2,200, Tristan Wade three-bet to 7,500 in the cutoff and Saurabh Patel four-bet to 28,000 in the big blind. The initial raiser folded and Wade five-bet all in for 117,100. Patel called and quickly shook his head when Wade tabled his cards.

Tristan Wade: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Saurabh Patel: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Wade was never in any danger, already locking up the big double on the turn to take a decent portion of Patel's stack.

Robinson Rivers Quads to Bust Opponent

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On the table of Dara "Doke" O'Kearney and Kristijonas Andrulis, a big pot emerged. A player that had just arrived with an above-average stack got into a big pot with Colin Robinson and the latter ended up shoving the river of a board {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. His opponent had bet and called the shove with ace-king only to get shown {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} for quads by Robinson.

The stacks were counted and Robinson had 77,100, which covered the other player. "I was hoping he had a hand like kings," Robinson added, delighted with the outcome of the hand.
