Farrell is Out

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Fredrick Arni was in the small blind and raised to 10,000. Niall Farrell three-bet to 30,000 in the big blind and Arni called.

The flop was {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Arni announced all in for roughly 260,000. Farrell went into the tank, talking to his opponent and trying to get his read. The clock was called on Farrell by Arni and with about 15 seconds left to act, Farrell called.

Arni tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for two pair and before Farrell showed his hand he said, "Yup, I'm the biggest idiot ever." He then showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Farrell couldn't improve, sending him to the rail and all of his chips to Arni.

On the same table Faraz Jaka has more than tripled his starting stack on the day and now sits at over 550,000 in chips.

Players have reached the first break of the day with roughly 210 remaining. Play will resume in 15 minutes.

Yu Li Flops Set Over Set, Knocks Ihlamur Out

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Following a {4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, Yu Li (under the gun) Osman Ihlamur (cutoff) got into a raising war that ended with Li pushing all in and getting called Ihlamur.

Yu Li: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Osman Ihlamur: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

They both had a set, but Ihlamur needed the {4-Spades} to help him or else he'd be out.

Neither the {J-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {K-Spades} on the river helped Ihlamur, and he's out of the Marathon.
