Chris Johnson vs. Jared Jaffee

Level 19 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Chris Johnson started the action from under the gun with a raise to 2,500, Jared Jaffee called from the button, and Jan Schwippert called from the big blind.

The flop fell {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Schwippert checked. Johnson bet 6,000 and Jaffee called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Johnson bet again, 20,000 this time. Jaffee asked Johnson to lift his hands so he could see approximately how much he had left, and after a few moments of contemplation, he called.

The {9-Spades} fell on the river, and Johnson took a few minutes to think before he moved all in for about 45,000. Jaffee folded and Johnson took the pot.

Jean Gaspard
Jean Gaspard

Jean Gaspard and James Obst got all the chips in on a board of {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Gaspard with the bigger stack. Obst tabled {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and was ahead of Gaspard, who held {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a flush draw.

Obst retained his lead on the {A-Clubs} turn, but the {2-Hearts} on the river gave Gaspard the winning flush, and he becomes the first player to secure a seat at tomorrow's final table.

Matt Glantz was also eliminated shortly thereafter.

Rellie Sigua Takes from Jean-Robert Bellande

Level 19 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With about 7,000 already in the middle and the board reading {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, Rellie Sigua bet 3,000 from the small blind, [Removed:532] called from the big blind, and Jean-Robert Bellande called from under the gun.

The {9-Clubs} fell on the river and Sigua bet again, 8,000 this time. Bellande called and Sigua tabled {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for nines full of kings, which was good enough to win the pot.

Calling Clock on Themselves

Level 19 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

There has just been a second occurrence of a player calling the clock on themselves at Table 724. On a {2-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Spades} board, James Dambrosio had made it 20,000 and Mark McMillin shoved for 58,400 more. Dambrosio went into the tank and like Baz Karam had done before, Dambrosio eventually called the clock on himself.

As the floorman counted the seconds down, Dambrosio struggled to pull a coin out of his pocket and flip it to possibly help make his decision. The floor man's count finally reached zero though, and Damrbosio's hand was folded.

Andre Akkari
Andre Akkari

Upeshka De Silva started the action with a raise to 2,300 from under the gun, and Andre Akkari called from the small blind.

The flop fell {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Akkari checked. De Silva bet 2,700 and Akkari check-raised to 6,700. After about a minute of thought, De Silva called.

The turn brought the {J-Diamonds} and De Silva bet 8,700. Akkari called.

The {2-Diamonds} on the river completed the board and De Silva bet again, 14,800 this time. Akkari moved all in, sending De Sliva into the tank.

"How much?" asked De Silva, and the dealer broke down Akkari's stack to show that he had 69,500. After several minutes, De Silva folded, and as he sent his cards in the muck, said with a little laugh "I'd like to see one." Akkari was happy to comply, and rolled over the {5-Diamonds} for a rivered wheel.
