Buddiga Building

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in middle position opened to 900, and Pratyush Buddiga called on the button.

On the {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, Buddiga called a bet of 800. On the {3-Clubs} turn, Buddiga again called a bet — this time for 1,600. Both players checked the {8-Hearts} river.

The middle position player showed {A-}{J-} and was beaten by Buddiga's {K-}{J-}.

Will Failla Falls With the Best of It

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Will Failla has been biding his time, riding out the short stack and looking for a spot. He had chipped up a little bit recently so was now looking for a decent double-up.

A player with a large stack opened from the button, and Failla moved in from the button and got a call.

Failla, with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, appeared to be in good shape against his opponent's {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

A rivered straight put an end to Failla’s tournament.

Niall Farrell Matching Cards, Dragging Pots

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Niall Farrell called a 1,500 bet on the turn of a board reading {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}. The river brought the {3-Spades}, and Farrell faced a bet of 1,700.

“I don’t think you’re bluffing. I don’t think I can fold,” Farrell said, thinking out loud. As good as his word, he called.

His opponent showed {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, but Farrell had him out-kicked with {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to drag another small pot.

Barbero's Big Stack

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} board, the big blind was all in, and there was a side pot between Jose Ignacio Barbero and Brian Altman.

The {J-Diamonds} hit the river, and Barbero gave a speech about how he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do and who he had or didn't have beat. Eventually, Barbero checked, as did Altman.

The big blind showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, Altman attempted to muck, and Barbero showed {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} for a pair of jacks.

Some players at the table pointed out that because a player was all in, Altman wasn't allowed to muck. Since his cards were retrievable, the dealer turned over Altman's {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades} for queen-high, and the side pot went to Barbero.
