Ryan Laplante Finds a Believer

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Joep Raemaekers opened for 3,500 and Ryan Laplante called from the button. The flop was {9-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Raemaekers check-called a 4,400 bet from Laplante. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Raemaekers again check-called, this time a 8,500 bet from Laplante.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and a final check from Raemaekers saw him facing a 16,000 bet. A minute or so passed before Raemaekers gave it up and showed the {k-Spades}

Laplante looked surprised and showed his {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} saying he had thought to himself, “Well, if he’s got a king I’m fu@%$d.”

Igor Yaroshevskyy Can’t Outdraw Cowboys

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Igor Yaroshevskyy opened from under the gun and faced a shove from Christopher Wall for just under 30,000. Yaroshevskyy gave it a decent amount of thought before he called.

Christopher Wall: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Igor Yaroshevskyy: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board came {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, meaning Wall's kings held.

Igor Yaroshevskyy has been pretty active today and after picking up a few pots just gave a chunk of change back. He will be looking to rebuild if possible.

Meredith Holtzman Can’t Come Back From One Chip

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Meredith Holtzman was left with just one black T100 chip after her Jacks lost to a player who flopped a set with sixes.

Some of the other players commiserated with her and hoped she would have a good comeback story after getting unlucky. It was not to be, though, as she was eliminated on the next hand by a player hitting a straight.
