Jimmy Fricke Exits

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Jimmy Fricke called a raise in the big blind and the two went heads-up to a flop. On the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} board, Fricke check-called a bet. The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Ficke check-called another bet. On the {J-Clubs} river, Fricke check-called a third time.

His opponent showed {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for a low and a pair of queens. That was good enough to scoop the pot and Fricke was left with just about 1,000 chips. He was eliminated from the tournament shortly after.

James Woods Chipping Up

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
James Woods
James Woods

Three players called preflop, including James Woods, prompting a check from the big blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}, and one player led at the pot. The three others called.

On the {A-Clubs} turn, action checked to James Woods, who bet. The other three players folded and Woods took down the pot to add to his growing stack.

"I always think you're bluffing," the player in the big blind said.

"I've played like six hands the last three days," Woods said. "I had baby clubs and the nut low."

Jason Mercier Runs Into the Nut Nut

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

On a board of {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts} Jason Mercier moved all in for less than a bet. The other player in the hand called, bringing the three to a river.

On the {4-Clubs} river, the player first to act bet and the other player called.

"Let me guess, nut nut?" the caller asked. And he was correct as the bettor turned up {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for the nut flush and the nut low. With that, Mercier hit the rail as the player raked in his chips.

Jeffrey Lisandro Gets the Scoop

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

With the board showing {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and more than 3,000 worth of bets in front of him, Jeffrey Lisandro faced off against one opponent. He casually flicked out a bet which his opponent called quickly. Lisandro showed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for the nut flush and that was good to scoop the entire pot. Lisandro moves above the starting chip stack after taking down that pot.
