Updated Chip Counts

Zakir Lakhani Eliminated

Zakir Lakhani was all in and the player at risk against Wilson Lopes.

Zakir Lakhani: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Wilson Lopes: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Lakhani grimaced as he saw his opponent’s cards and said he had almost folded. Another player named some cards that could rescue him as the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Spades}.

No help, though, for Lakhani as the kings held and he was eliminated.

Chris Brand vs Xavier Rios

Chris Brand raised to 2,000 from the cutoff. James Cappucci, on the button, Tirza Sanders and Xavier Rios in the blinds all called.

All players checked on the [2c4cQ] flop. The turn gave them the {8-Clubs}, Sanders checked, Rios opened to 3,500, Brand called, Cappucci and Sanders folded.

They checked on the {4-Diamonds} that completed the board. Rios showed {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights but Brand showed {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for the turned flush.

Raghav Bansal Doubles Up With Ace-High Turn Call

The board at the turn read {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Raghav Bansal in the small blind checked it to Curt Kohlberg in late position who moved all in, covering Bansal who had around 35,000 behind.

Bansal gave it a couple of minutes thought before he called.

Raghav Bansal: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Curt Kohlberg: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The river card was the {7-Clubs}, missing Kohlberg's flush draw to double-up Bansal.

Kohlberg acknowledged what a good call it was as Bansal allowed himself a small fist pump after preserving his tournament life with an ace-high call.

Tom Middleton Survives All-In

Sergi Reixach
Sergi Reixach

Sergi Reixach opened the action and after Damien Leforbes called, Tom Middleton on his left moved all in for just under 40,000. Reixach called and a frustrated Leforbes mucked his cards. He wasn’t too pleased when he saw the hands either.

Tom Middleton: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Sergi Reixach: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and they chopped it up despite a backdoor heart sweat on the flop for Middleton.

“How do you guys do it? Find ace-king and just go with it all in,” adding “I win,” with reference to his folded hand and how the board ran out.

“You lost,” Middleton corrected him as he survived the all-in.

Small Pot for John Phan With Kings

John Phan
John Phan

Zachary Smiley opened from early position and it folded all the way around to John Phan in the big blind who three-bet. Smiley called.

The flop was {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} and Phan led out for 3,800. Smiley called and they then checked both the {9-Diamonds} turn and {6-Hearts} river.

“Kings,” Phan said and turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. That was good, as Smiley mucked.
