Jeff Madsen Doubles Up

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Jeff Madsen earlier this summer
Jeff Madsen earlier this summer

With a massive pile of about 60,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Jeff Madsen and Melad Marji got the rest of their chips in. Marji had the larger of the two stacks by a narrow margin, putting Madsen at risk.

Madsen: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Marji: {K-}{J-}{9-}{8-}

Madsen was in good shape already, but the board ran out with the {9-Spades} on the turn and {8-Diamonds} on the river to give him the nut flush and he took the pot.

With about 20,000 chips already in the pot and the board reading {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Hon Cheong Lee bet 9,000 and Chino Rheem called from the button.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and Lee checked. Rheem quickly tossed out a bet of 20,000, Lee folded, and Rheem took the pot.

Aces Hold Up for Brad Ruben

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

After arriving at a table full of preflop action, Brad Ruben was all in and awaiting an opponent's decision. After one player limped in middle position, the small blind raised to 13,200. Ruben moved all in from the big blind for around 81,000 and the player in middle position stuck in his remaining 27,800 chips as well. The action was on the small blind who thought for a few minutes before finally tossing his cards away.

Ruben showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} against his opponent's {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Ruben made a full house, good enough to win the pot and eliminate his opponent.
