The flop came {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn went check-check when the {7-Hearts} hit the board. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Ross led for 22,000. Lamb folded and Ross won the pot.

Felipe Ramos Calls Correctly Against Scott Clements

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

The player under the gun opened to 3,000 and got calls from Scott Clements on the button and Felipe Ramos in the small blind. All three players checked the {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and the turn was the {7-Hearts}. Ramos bet out 5,500, the next player folded, and Clements called.

They were heads up to the {A-Hearts} river and Ramos checked. Clements put out a stack of 5,000-denomination chips to pot and Ramos asked the dealer what the bet was. The dealer said it was 21,200 and Ramos went into the tank. After more than two minutes, Ramos tossed in a single chip to indicate a call.

Clements tabled {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} just a pair of aces for a high and a seven-five low. Ramos won the high with two pair, aces and deuces, and he had a six-five low, good for the scoop.

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Chris Ferguson and Cary Katz were heads up with the board reading {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Katz checked to Ferguson. He bet 5,000 and Katz called.

Rast Puts a Beat on Bronshtein

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Yuval Bronshtein raised under the gun to 2,900, and Brian Rast made it 10,500 to go in middle position. After some thought, Bronshtein potted to 33,300. Rast stuck his 44,600 in and they ran it.

Rast: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Bronshtein: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Clubs}, and Bronshtein initially reached for his chips, thinking it was a chop. However, Rast had run two pair and made an ace-four low for a scoop and a double.

Hughes Eliminates Green

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Perry Green
Perry Green

Perry Green had 10,000 of his 15,700 in from late position against Ryan Hughes, who was in middle position. After the {5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop, Hughes bet 5,700 to put Green at risk.

"All right," Green said with a sigh, calling it off.

Green: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Hughes: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Green needed some high cards that weren't spades, but the {5-Hearts} turn did just as well, keeping the kings best. However, the {4-Spades} river gave Hughes the high and low with a flush and an ace-three, and he scooped to eliminate the three-time bracelet winner.

At another table, Dario Sammartino appears to have the chip lead with north of 300,000.

Shane Douglas Rivers a Heart to Double Through Tommy Chen

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

There was 8,100 total in the pot preflop and Shane Douglas and Tommy Chen had both put in 15,000 on the {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop.

On the {A-Diamonds} turn, Douglas, who was in the small blind, bet the pot but put out too much. Chen in the big blind wanted to know what the size of the bet was, and after some discussion between dealer and multiple players, it was determined to be 38,100.

Chen was visibly annoyed with the situation and asked Douglas why he didn't just raise on the flop. Douglas shrugged his shoulders and after several more seconds, Chen put forward a stack of pink chips and Douglas called for his remaining stack. He had 62,600 total.

Douglas: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Chen: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Chen was ahead with a set of queens, and Douglas needed a heart for a flush, a jack for quads, or a ten to chop. The {8-Hearts} river gave Douglas a flush to double up.

The hand left Chen shaking his head in disbelief, but after several seconds, his smile returned.
