The Grinder Grinds at the Top

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Michael Mizrachi and a big stack — that's a very common pairing in nearly any tournament the three-time bracelet winner enters.

This $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event is no exception, with Mizrachi having already accumulated around 120,000.

His latest addition came when he bet about 18,000 on the {8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} turn, enough to cover his opponent's remaining chips. The rival called, relying on Lady Luck.

Michael Mizrachi: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Opponent {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Mizrachi was up against a combo draw, and the {4-Clubs} river confirmed his victory, sending his opponent to the rail.

Harder Shoves the River

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Christian Harder was in the big blind, battling against the small blind. Harder three-bet to 4,500 over a raise to 1,450, and his right-hand neighbor called.

They went to the {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop, where they both checked. Harder saved his continuation bet for the {K-Clubs} turn, betting 4,500 after his opponent had checked. He received a call. The {A-Hearts} completed the board, and the small blind checked yet again. Harder took all of his 15,750 remaining chips and moved them toward the middle.

The small blind weighed the pros and cons for more than a minute but eventually chose the passive move, letting Harder win without showdown.

Andy Spears Knocks Out Ryan Olisar

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Andy Spears raised to 1,300 from the button, and Ryan Olisar shoved all in for his remaining 11,325. Spears took some time to think and decided to call in the end.

Andy Spears: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Ryan Olisar: {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} — no help for Olisar, and he was eliminated.

Schillhabel Shoves the River

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Stefan Schillhabel bet 3,200 after a big blind opponent checked to him on the turn of a {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board. The big blind called and checked the {a-Clubs} river. Schillhabel moved all in. It was 8,825, and that got a fold from Schillhabel's opponent after about 30 seconds.

Stern Goes Check-Raise, Check-Fold

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

With the {4-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} on the flop, Dani Stern and Shannon Shorr met in one of the big-blind-against-button battles.

Stern checked to Shorr, who bet 2,000. Then he raised to 4,500. Shorr's reaction wasn't immediate, but he called. The turn brought the {10-Spades}, completing the spade flush draw. Stern checked, but Shorr wasn't afraid of another check-raise, firing 4,100 to pressure Stern out of the pot.
