Moore Doubles Juanda

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

With the board reading {5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, small blind Chris Moore had 60,000 in front of him. John Juanda, seated under the gun plus one, was all in for 289,500 more than that. Moore tossed in three chips worth 100,000 each to call.

Juanda tabled {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for the set and Moore was drawing slim holding {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. The river {7-Diamonds} was inconsequential and Juanda doubled up.

"You do that a lot," Negreanu said to his friend on his left as Juanda started stacking his newfound chips.

Negreanu Can't Call

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Dan Shak limped in under the gun and John Juanda on the button followed suit. Small blind Daniel Negreanu completed and big blind Paul Volpe checked.

All four checked on {2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the {K-Hearts} hit the turn. Negreanu bet out 7,500 and Volpe called. Shak folded and Juanda called.

The river {9-Spades} completed the board and Negreanu checked. Volpe bet 30,000 and Juanda folded. Negreanu thought about it for a bit before he too folded.

"I beat you!" Negreanu told Juanda.

But, apparently, he didn't believe he could beat Volpe.

The Six Million Dollar Man Takes His Seat Again

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Christoph Vogelsang, who took down the 2017 edition of the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl for $6 million last week, has just taken his seat again after having busted earlier. The man he beat heads up, Jake Schindler, is sitting three to his left. Except for Pratyush Buddiga, who finished sixth for $1 million, all players that made the money in the biggest event of the year, are all playing this event as well.

Leon Tsoukernik Pulls Ahead

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

Picking up the action after the turn of a board that read {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{2-Hearts}{A-Clubs} with about 100,000 in the pot, action was on Erik Seidel in the big blind, tanking for his remaining 170,000-ish after being set all in by Leon Tsoukernik on the button. After a little while mulling it over, Seidel called all in.

Tsoukernik tabled {A-Spades}{7-Spades} for trip aces and had Seidel's {K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} drawing dead. The river was the inconsequential {5-Hearts} and Tsoukernik scored the elimination.

In the following hand, Jonathan Jaffe raised to 13,000 from under the gun and Tsoukernik three-bet to 40,000 from the cutoff. Jaffe called and the flop came down {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Jaffe checked, Tsoukernik bet 60,000, Jaffe called, and the turn was the {6-Diamonds}. Jaffe checked again and Tsoukernik bet effectively 620,000. After mulling it over for about 45 seconds, Jaffe folded. Tsoukernik showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Following the river of a {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board with about 260,000 in the middle, Rainer Kempe (under the gun) was in the tank facing a shove of 168,000 from Ben Tollerene in middle position. After a little while, Kempe called.

Tollerene tabled {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, but Kempe turned over {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a straight to win the pot and eliminate Tollerene.

Farrell Back in the Black

Level 4 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jason Mercier opened under the gun for 8,500 and Niall Farrell on the button called. Both blinds called as well and checked on {2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Mercier bet 15,500 and Farrell called. Small blind Sam Stein tanked for a bit and called, but big blind Chance Kornuth folded.

Stein checked again as the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. Mercier bet 59,000 and Farrell called while Stein folded.

The {2-Hearts} completed the board and Mercier checked. Farrell bet 115,000 and Mercier instantly folded.
