The board ran out and Nikolaev held on to knock out a very tough pro in Shorr who had a tumultuous last 45 minutes, peaking at over 650,000 and then hitting some bad spots to be out shortly afterward.
As tables break it is not uncommon for monster tables to form, whether they fill up with big stacks or big names. Table 637 has a bit of both and should lead to some exciting confrontations.

Steven Van Zadelhoff was on the button and moved all in for 71,000. The small blind called and Shannon Shorr in the big blind announced all in for roughly 510.000. The small blind folded, leaving the action heads up.

The board ran out and, without much of a sweat, Shorr took down the pot and added to his growing stack.
The technical problem that caused an unexpected break seems to have been resolved and play has continued in the second level of Day 2. There are still 28 minutes left on the clock.
An error with the system has caused an early break here during the 20th level. Players have been sent on a 10-minute break until the problem is rectified.

Dan Chio was in early position and had moved all in for 79,000. Another player on the button verbalised a raise and then put in 22,000. The dealer then stopped the action and notified the button that there was an all-in. Due to verbally stating raise, he was required to min-raise the amount of the all-in. The player accepted his mistake and that he hadn't noticed the all-in and put in enough to min-raise. The players left to act behind the button both folded.
The button then said to Chio, "I think you just got a gift, I have six-high."

The board ran out and Chio's two pair held on versus the gutshot draw the button player flopped.
