Today, July 1, Day 1a of Event #60: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed is set to begin at 10 a.m. Last year, there were 6,761 entries in total and Hung Le took home the coveted gold WSOP bracelet and the first prize of $888,888. Le won the first-ever WSOP tournament he had entered, although he did enter twice last year. This year he has also cashed in Event #47: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em MONSTER STACK, so he might be back to defend his title in this event.

This will be a three-day event. Players who enter the event will receive 8,000 in tournament chips. Levels will be 30 minutes long with 20-minute breaks every four levels. Eighteen levels of play are scheduled for today with registration and unlimited reentries open through the break after Level 8 until approximately 2:40 p.m.
