Affleck Hits His Ace, Eliminates Neckar

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Matt Affleck
Matt Affleck

No-Limit Hold'em

Johnny Neckar raised to 4,700 from the hijack, Matt Affleck three-bet to 15,000 on the button, Neckar pushed around 85,000, and Affleck called, having Neckar covered.

Neckar: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Affleck: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

It was a setup for Affleck but the flop brought the ace he needed: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. The case king remained in the deck on the {8-Spades} turn and {10-Diamonds} river. Neckar shook his head and headed out of the tournament area.

Hale the King, New Ruler of the Room

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Millard Hale just took over the chip lead.

Hale opened under the gun and was called by a player in late position and Ivan Naumov in the small blind.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Hale bet. The player in late position raised pot, Naumov repotted, and Hale moved all in. The player in late position called for less and Naumov called, putting them both at risk.

Hale: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Naumov: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent: {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Hale and Naumov both flopped monster sets but their opponent had outs. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} changing nothing and the {9-Hearts} on the river sealed the pot for Hale, giving him a full house.

Hale had the player in late position just covered and Naumov was forced to pay Hale's stack of 138,100 as well.

Manning Doubles Through Bucherl

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Konstantin Bucherl had checked with the board reading {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Jeff Manning went all in for his last 23,900, and Bucherl called after some thought.

Manning: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Bucherl: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}

Bucherl was ahead on the flop but Manning had plenty of outs to win with middle pair and an inside wrap. The {K-Clubs} on the turn was a brick for Manning, but the {5-Clubs} on the river completed his straight for the double.

Jaffe Scoops a Small Pot

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jared Jaffee has seen quite a decline to his stack recently but has picked up a small pot by eliminating an opponent.

All the chips went in preflop and Jaffee easily had his short-stacked opponent covered.

Jaffee: {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Jaffee's two pair was best, sending his opponent to the payout desk.

Tyler Patterson Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Tyler Patterson
Tyler Patterson

No-Limit Hold'em

Tyler Patterson raised to 4,500 in early position. To his left, Ivan Naumov instantly raised to 13,000. Patterson four-bet shoved for 55,000 and Naumov instantly called.

Patterson: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Naumov: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

The flop was {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Naumov paired up his king.

"Nooooo!" said Patterson with a bad movie villain voice.

The {6-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river weren't the jack Patterson needed, and the bracelet winner said his goodbyes.

Hajiyev Rivers a Straight to Best Meyer

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

There looked to be about 30,000 in the middle before all the chips went in between Friedrich Meyer and Ramin Hajiyev.

The board read {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and only Hajiyev's cards were left on their backs. Hajiyev had tabled {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, making a straight on the river and it ended up as the best hand, earning him a double-up.

Deyra Cracks Iaconafo's Aces

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Ivan Deyra
Ivan Deyra

Pot-Limit Omaha

Ivan Deyra raised to 5,000 in late position and the small blind called. Kevin Iacofano went all in from the big blind, Deyra called, and the third player folded.

Iacofano: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Deyra: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Iacofano was in prime position to double up but the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop was dreadful. Deyra flopped Broadway and received Iacofano's stack after the {3-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river.

Shortly after, Deyra five-bet shoved over a Steve Gross four-bet in a late position versus blinds situation. Gross folded his hand.
