Andrey Pateychuk Wins With Top Pair

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

On a board of {10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} one player checked to Andrey Pateychuk who bet 65,000. His opponent then check-raised him to 150,000. Pateychuk called.

Both players checked the {2-Hearts} on the turn. His opponent showed {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for ace-high, but Pateychuk had flopped top pair with {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and that was good enough to take down the pot and get him within touching distance of one million chips.

Donaldson Nearly Triples Up

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

With a raise and a reraise all in ahead of him, we found Schuyler Thornton shoving all in to cover both players. Matt Donaldson, the initial raiser, jammed as well.

Thornton: {a-}{k-}
Donaldson: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Third player: {a-}{k-}

Donaldson had found a great spot and the board ran out clean for him. The first all-in player had about 300,000, so Donaldson collected his whole stack and doubled through Thornton for 391,000.

Nick Schwarmann Fires the River

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With about 60,000 chips already in the middle on a flop of {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Nick Schwarmann checked from the big blind to his lone opponent in middle position who bet 22,000. Schwarmann called.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and both players checked.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Schwarmann bet what looked like 46,000. His opponent folded and he took the pot.

David Peters

David Peters raised to 18,000 from early position and the player in the cutoff called.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Peters continued for 26,000. The cutoff raised to 60,000 and Peters called.

Peters check-called a bet of 100,000 on the turn {j-Hearts}, but folded on the {a-Clubs} after he checked to his opponent, and they bet 240,000.
