Karamalikis Loses to a Straight

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The board read {10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and a sizeable pot had amassed in the middle of the table.

John Thompson checked from the big blind. Jonathan Karamalikis bet 20,000 from the hijack. The player on the button called. Thompson got out of the way.

Both players then checked after the {a-Hearts} completed the board.

Karamalikis tabled {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for top pair. His opponent flipped over {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a straight and the winning hand.

Hall Doubles Through Murray

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Paul Murray opened the action from under-the-gun with a raise to 6,000 and tablemate Bruce Hall moved all-in for 40,000 from around the back. After some time in the think tank Murray slid out the call and it was off the races.

Paul Murray: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Bruce Hall: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop saw Hall teetering on the brink of elimination, but the timely appearance of the {a-Diamonds} turn saw him take the lead in the hand, and he claimed the double-up after the {2-Clubs} river completed the hand. Hall doubled up to 87,500 while Murray dropped to around 95,000 or so.

Murray got all this in the next hand in a battle of the blinds, pumping it to 9,000 from the big blind after the man in the small blind limped. Murray got a customer and the flop fell {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}, where the action went check, check.

The {4-Diamonds} turn was as far as the hand got with Murray shipping in the rest of his chips when the small blind checked it over and folding after Murray's all-in.

Attenborough Loses One

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Adrian Attenborough raised to 6,000 from the button and was called by the player in the small blind as well as Suzy Khoueis in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the blinds checked. Attenborough continued for 4,000. He was called twice.

All three players checked the {q-Hearts} on the turn before the {9-Hearts} completed the board.

The small blind tossed out 12,000. Knoueis folded shortly after. Attenborough deliberated for a minute before making the call.

The player in the small blind then flipped over his {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for a flush, and took down the pot, after Attenborough mucked his hand.

"I had an eight! What a sick run out," said a disappointed Khoueis, following the hand.

"I had a bad flush," said Attenborough.

Snell Takes One Down

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jo Snell was not long back from the break and was caught in action in a hand, with an opponent making it 3,000 to go on the button.

Sitting in the small blind, Snell responded with a three-bet to 12,000 and was called to take play heads-up to a flop of {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, which he took down with a 10,000 continuation bet.

After scooping the pot, that puts Snell's stack on roughly 350,000, meaning it looks like Vincent Xu over on the feature table is the current top dog with a stack of around 400,000.

Xu Takes Out Wardak to Race up the Leaderboard

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Saidal Wardak just recalled his elimination from the feature table.

He was up against Vincent Xu with the board showing {q-}{10-}{7-}{7-}{7-}.

All the money went in with Xu having Wardak covered.

Wardak had pocket kings but would lose out to Xu who had pocket tens for a better full house.

Chahine Eliminates Portaro

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Simon Chahine
Simon Chahine

The player under the gun raised to 5,500 and was called by Bruno Portaro in the hijack and Simon Chahine in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and the action checked to Portaro who tossed out 7,000. Chahine then moved all in for around 120,000 which had both opponents covered. The under the gun player folded. Portaro deliberated for over a minute before calling off with 82,000 behind.

Chahine: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Portaro: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

"I honestly didn't put you on anything," said Portaro, after noticing he was behind with his top pair versus Chahine's bottom two.

The board ran out the {k-Diamonds} then {9-Hearts} to see Portaro hit the rail after not being able to improve.

"Unlucky mate," said Chahine sincerely, following the hand.

"Couldn't have gone to a nicer guy," replied Portaro.

"Honestly, If I could double up anyone at this table it would've been you," Chahine finished with.

Laoyont Doubles Through Chen

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Patrick Laoyont
Patrick Laoyont

Jo Snell has been amassing chips and looks to be the current frontrunner with a stack of 450,000 or so, and we caught Snell, Patrick Laoyont and Cameron Chen involved in a hand that proved to be quite exciting.

Following an early position raise, Snell made the call from middle position before Patrick Laoyont moved all-in over the top for 50,300.

"You do what you have to Pat," quipped Snell.

Action folded around to Cameron Chen in the small blind and after asking for a count of Layont's stack, he pulled the trigger for 75,000 in total and action was back on the original raiser who had a decision to make.

"I don't mind a triple-up bro," said Laoyont as the player in question mulled over his options. Eventually, the original raiser mucked, as did Snell and Laoyont and Chen were heads-up and revealed their holdings.

Cameron Chen: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Patrick Laoyont: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Laoyont had already got up and started packing up his stuff, but seemed happy enough to be in such good shape.

"C'mon the ladies," he said and the dealer ran out the {7-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts} board, which saw Laoyont climb to 110,000 after the hand, while Chen dropped down to 20,000.

Snell told the table afterwards he would have made top two with king-ten, so it was a good thing for Laoyont that there was all that action, or he could well have been hitting the rail instead of stacking up chips.
