Rubdowning the Rubdowner

You wanna piece of me?
You wanna piece of me?
Karl 'Mantis' Mahrenholz, who starts the day with 144,600, has been challenged by his fellow Hit Squad members to give Tony G a rubdown if he is able to eliminate the 'man from the streets'.

"I can't do it," hesitates Mantis. "I'm just too nice a guy to give a rubdown like that."

At 8 feet, Mantis is probably one of the few players who could actually win in a fight with the meaty frame of Tony G, who I'm sure would have a trick or two up his sleeve. No one says 'Bring on more Russians' without having a battle strategy of some kind.

If the rubdown does occur, which I fear it won't, then brace yourselves for a celebrity deathmatch-esque battle of epic proportions.

Dream TV Table

Now, not to cast doubt on the validity of the randomised seating process but the TV table looks like this:

Seat 1: Patrick Antonius - 28,3200
Seat 2: Erik Joergensen - 22,100
Seat 3: Magnus Persson - 165,600
Seat 4: Matthew Carter - 58,400
Seat 5: Daniel Negreanu - 31,700
Seat 6: Will Durkee - 92,600
Seat 7: Sam Norman - 29,600
Seat 8: Gus Hansen - 349,400
Seat 9: Sergey Feklisov - 115,500

Which is something of a dream final table in itself. By my reckoning there are 1 EPT, 1 Aussie Millions, 3 WSOP and 6 WPT titles alone at that table.

Join us from 2pm today.......

Join us from 2pm today as we continue our coverage of the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe Main Event.

The field from both day 2's will combine today and all 84 players will return for the start of Day 3 at 2pm. It should be an interesting day, with the 2 chip leaders Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius set to clash, after being randomly drawn on the same table. For a full list of Chip Counts click here.

36 players will make the money, but only one player can be crowned Champion and take home the £1,000,000 first prize. For a full list of prizemoney click here.

Play will continue throughout the day, until at least 36 players remain and the money is reached. It will be reassessed towards the end of the day, and possibly play deeper into the money depending on the time. Players who survive today will come back on Saturday for Day 4, where the final table will be reached. Join us for all your Live Updates, including chip counts, live reporting blog, photos and videos.
