Spaces Clearing

Another table has broken here at the Sportsman, and players are keeping up the pretty fast pace. You can almost hear the 'pop' as the moths of shortstacks run into the deadly light bulbs of their bigstack neighbours, who aren't afraid to gamble to knock them out.

One who managed to survive the all-in experience just now was Paul Wasicka, doubling to 22k off Mike Mizrachi, who gave him a spin holding {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} to Wasicka's {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. The board when all the money crossed the line was, however, {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and being 10k wasn't going to put Mizrachi into the danger zone just yet.

Not surviving this level was David Williams - he was already halfway out the door, having mucked his hand without showing on a {4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} board before his opponent even turned over his {6-Spades}{7-Spades} for the straight. The opponent was Joe Serock, adding to his already impressive stack, now at 61,800. "He's a machine," comments his neighbour.
