After several minutes of intense deliberation, the mystery of the yellow discs that sit before the dealer has finally been revealed courtesy of tournament director Jack Effel. With Nolan Dalla and myself shamefully stumped as to their function, Jack informed us that they were being used to count the number of hands for a particular game, with the dealer shifting a disc to her right hand side after every hand. "Surely she must forget from time to time," I pondered (mainly talking to myself at this point), but after observing astutely for the last couple of levels, I witnessed no such errors and confirm that the dealers here are in top notch form.

So there you go, who needs the wonders of modern technology when you have yellow discs.
