Jesus: We all have our cross to bear.
On a flop, Justin Smith bets out 11,400 and Chris Ferguson raises to 30,000. Smith makes the call before checking the turn. Ferguson bet 55,000 and Smith moved in. Ferguson called and flipped . Smith said, "Freeroll," turning over but the river was the and the two players chopped the pot.
Jorgensen can dodge bullets
All the action is happening on one table right now. Two more eliminations have just taken place as well.
Firstly, Chris Ferguson took care of Roy Brindley when Brindley moved all in with top two pair on an all club flop. Unfortunately for him, Ferguson was sitting with the nut flush that held up and put him up to 204,000.
Next up, two more players got it all in at the flop stage. Theo Jorgensen was holding an over pair to the board and David Williams was holding a straight flush and wrap draw. All of Williams' outs missed though and he quickly headed for the exit. Jorgensen is up to 211,000.
David Penly moved all in for 42,500 on a board showing , with about 70,000 already in the pot. To make the call would've cost Bruno Fitoussi all or most of his chips.
"You don't want to give me a chance?" Fitoussi asked.
After a considerable dwell in the tank, Fitoussi reluctantly tossed his cards into the muck and Penly raked in the pot, worth ~113,000.
After the hand, we counted Bruno at 43,000 in chips.
Chips go flying in between Allen Cunningham and David Williams on a flop. Williams flips for top two but is in dire straits because he needs running aces, tens or king queen to beat Cunningham who flips . Williams can't make this miracle draw and has lost over half his stack. Cunningham is up to 100,000.
Phil Laak has just been knocked out of the tournament. I only arrived as Mizzi was raking the chips but saw a board with Mizzi holding and Laak also showing with meaningless side cards. I'm guessing it all went in on the turn and Mizzi freerolled his way to victory.
Sorel Mizzi flat-called from the cut-off as did Roy Brindley from the button before Theo Jorgensen raised to 12,00 from the small blind. Mizzi called after getting a count of Jorgensen's stack but Brindley folded.
The flop came and Jorgensen led out for 20,000 before being set all in. Jorgensen made the call and tabled but he was out flopped by Mizzi's .
The turn flipped the hand on its head before the river came .
Jorgensen then joked "I really concentrated on the turn!" as he stacked up his 145,000 in chips. Mizzi is on 74,000.
Andy Bloch has been knocked out by Erik Friberg after the former was set in on a board by Friberg's , Bloch made the call with . The turn gave Bloch three pair with a but the river was a which made Friberg the nut straight on the river for the pot.
